This bonding/welding of the headliner to trim ring creates a smooth, molded look for the trim ring and does so without gapping to or sliding within the headliner.

An end cap is fastened to the visor blade to fix the housing to the blade. The visor can slide along the rod to a plurality of extended positions and the detent can hold the visor at any of various rotational positions relative to the vehicle structure.
