    • The present invention relate to a balloon expandable stent mounted on a balloon catheter, the entire assembly being overcoated with a coherent polymer coating, which is preferably substantially continuous over the circumference and, more preferably, axial length of the stent on the balloon. The polymer coating improves retention of the stent on the balloon during delivery and does not adversely effect the deployment characteristics, nor the balloon failure characteristics. The product is made by mounting the stent on the balloon and coating the assembly with a liquid coating composition containing a suitable polymer followed by curing of the coating. The polymer is biocompatible and preferably crosslinkable in the coating composition, and crosslinked in the final product. A suitable polymer is formed from monomers including a zwitterionic, preferably a phosphoryl choline, group, and monomers including a trialkoxysilyl group. Preferably the coated product is contacted with ethylene oxide to provide simultaneous sterilization and additional curing.

    • An immobilization apparatus for a vehicle having a wheel with a tire. The apparatus comprises first and second elongated members having inner ends and outer ends. The inner ends are connected together and the outer ends are angularly spaced apart. There is an L-shaped clasp at each of the outer ends for grasping the tire. The clasps are rotatable about the outer ends. A third elongated member has an inner portion and an outer portion and is angularly spaced-apart from the first and second members. The inner portion is tubular and the outer portion of the third elongated member is telescopically received therein. The outer portion has an L-shaped clasp, and the outer portion is rotatable with respect to the inner portion. A locking mechanism secures the outer portion at a fixed telescopic position with respect to the inner portion of the third elongated member.

When the current has damped to below the critical current, the Josephson tunnel junctions revert to their zero-resistance state, restoring the Q of the detection circuit and enabling the low energy magnetic resonance signals to be detected.

    • The invention provides a linear beam tube which may be protected against high voltage arcs between the cathode and anode of its electron gun by connecting to ground a limiting impedance in a series path from said anode. The anode is carried upon the end of a ceramic cylinder which is co-axially within a conical metallic member. The end of the ceramic cylinder remote from the anode is attached to one end of said conical metallic member, the other end of which is flanged, with the flange passing through the tube envelope to provide an external termination which may be connected to ground. Resistive material is deposited in a groove in the inner surface of said ceramic cylinder to form a deposited impedance which extends from the anode over the end of the ceramic cylinder, to the end of the conical metallic member and constitutes said limiting impedance.
