摘要： An engine exhaust treatment system. The treatment system includes and a reductant injector adapted to deliver a reductant composition into an exhaust stream moving along an exhaust flow path. A selective catalytic reduction device is disposed downstream from the reductant injector. The selective catalytic reduction device is adapted to reduce an amount of NOx in exhaust gases produced by an engine by reaction of the NOx with ammonia. A basic and/or amphoteric oxide contact surface is disposed along the exhaust flow path.

The needle check valve is recipratingly disposed to open and close the at least one orifice. The control system also has a control chamber located at the base end of the needle check valve, and a control valve movable to selectively drain and fill the control chamber. The control system further has an injector body, a first piston located within the injector body, and a second piston located within the injector body. The first piston is operatively connected to the control valve to move the control valve. The second piston is located a distance from the first piston to form a coupling chamber. The control system additionally has a partial-ball check valve associated with the coupling chamber to selectively replenish the coupling chamber.

The mesh section may also be sized and located to intersect the reductant introduced by the injector.

The SCR system includes a reductant injection system configured to introduce a reductant into a exhaust stream of a engine, a SCR catalysts configured to reduce NOx in the presence of a reductant, and a SCR monitoring system configured to determine temperatures associated with the SCR system. The SCR system also includes a heat source configured to raise the temperature of the exhaust stream and a controller configured to operate the heat source to reach exhaust stream temperatures in the SCR system of at least about 400 degrees Celsius based on the temperature associated with the SCR system.
