摘要： An image browsing apparatus capable of calculating color temperature of an image and browsing the image based on the color temperature, and a method of browsing an image are provided. The image browsing apparatus includes a data storage unit for storing a plurality of image data; a color temperature calculator for calculating the color temperature of each image and storing the calculated color temperature in the data storage unit; a command input unit for inputting an image browsing mode; and a color temperature browser for classifying images corresponding to the browsing mode using the color temperature as an image search condition and then, browsing the classified images. The method of browsing images includes determining the color temperature of an input image when a browsing mode is input; and browsing images when the color temperature falls within the color temperature range of the browsing mode.

摘要： A method of visually measuring the brightness of ambient lighting around a display device is disclosed. In this method, first, a reference brightness of the display device is determined according to a type of display device. Thereafter, information about locations where the display device is used is received from the user, and illuminance values of the display device corresponding to brightness stages are set based on the reference brightness and the location information. Then, a reference brightness is converted into each of the illuminance values corresponding to each of the brightness stages. The converted images with the illumination values corresponding to the brightness stages are displayed to the user, and an image that has a brightness value nearest to the brightness of ambient lighting is selected, and the brightness value of the selected image is determined as the brightness of ambient lighting.

The apparatus includes an image input unit for receiving a query image including an object and an object extraction target image from which the object included in the query image is to be extracted; an object position determination unit for determining a position of the object in the object extraction target image using pixel based color feature matching; an image segmentation unit for segmenting each of the query image and the object extraction target image into a plurality of regions using image features including color or texture; and an object region determination unit for performing matching between the segmented regions in the query image and the segmented regions in the determined position of the object in the object extraction target image using color or texture features and determining a final object region using similarity in spatial adjacency between matching regions obtained as a result of the matching. Accordingly, an image region of a particular object can be automatically extracted from an object extraction target image. Therefore, the apparatus can be applied to video editors, video authoring tool, object based video encoder, interactive video authoring tool, and the like.
