摘要： An automatic control type electronic flash unit includes flashlight generator, a metering device for measuring the quantity of light emitted from the flashlight generator and reflected by an object to be photographed, a first detector for detecting the output of the metering device and generating a proper output when the output corresponds to a quantity of light which provides a proper exposure, and apparatus for discontinuing the flashlight generation of the flashlight generator in response to the proper output, a second detector for generating an over-exposure output when the output of the metering device related to the quantity of the reflection, by the object, of the flashlight generated during the time from the generation of the proper output until the discontinuation of the flashlight generation of the flashlight generator reaches a predetermined value, and an indicator operable by an over-exposure output to indicate an over-exposure.

摘要： A camera capable of operating in a red-eye prevention mode. The camera has an electronic flash device which is activated by a drive circuit in synchronization with the exposure. The electronic flash device also serve as a pre-light-emission device capable of performing pre-light-emission for the purpose of preventing red-eye effect. When it is judged from the photographing condition that red-eye effect may occur, a controller activates the electronic flash device to effect a pre-light-emission for reducing the size of pupils of eyes of a person to be photographed, before the main flashing which is executed in synchronization with the exposure.

摘要： A camera with a built-in self-timer, flash and autofocus is disclosed. The camera is switchable between normal and self-timer modes. When in the normal mode, the auto focus device measures distance at the beginning of a photographic cycle. In self-timer mode, the auto focus device measures the distance at the beginning of the photographic cycle, and after the self-timer has counted down from its set time. A decision to use the flash is based on the first distance measurement and the scene brightness in the normal mode, and on the second distance measurement and scene brightness in the self-timer mode. If the decision is yes, a checking apparatus checks whether the flash capacitor has sufficient charge, and if not charges the capacitor.

摘要： In a camera having a light receiving element for receiving extraneous light, an integrating capacitor series-connected to the light receiving element, a control circuit for supplying a stop signal to a flashlight device through a connection cord between the camera and the flashlight device to cause the flashlight discharge tube of the flashlight device to stop emitting when the terminal of the capacitor has reached a predetermined value, and a synchro circuit having a synchro terminal and X-contact, there is provided a coil excitable by a current flowing from the flashlight device through the synchro terminal and X-contact to generate a voltage when the flashlight discharge tube has started to emit, the coil being series-connected to the X-contact, a transistor parallel-connected to the integrating capacitor so that in its conductive position, the transistor enables the capacitor to discharge and in its non-conductive position, the transistor enables the capacitor to be charged, and a switching circuit connected to the coil and the release mechanism of the camera so that upon detection of the voltage generated in the coil, the switching circuit assumes a first position to render the switching element non-conductive and upon completion of shutter release, the switching circuit assumes a second position to render the switching element conductive.
