摘要： An inkjet ink is provided, which includes a pigment dispersion containing an organic dispersant, a black pigment having an average particle diameter of not more than 200 nm, and a resinous dispersing agent, the organic dispersant being formed of at least one polymerizable compound, and the black pigment being included therein at an amount ranging from 2 to 30% by weight based on the organic dispersant, and an ionic compound. A ζ-potential of the black pigment to the at least one polymerizable compound of the organic dispersant is confined within the range of −10 mV to +100 mV.

摘要： An color image forming apparatus is disclosed which forms an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive drum with the use of a charger and laser beam for light exposure, develops the electrostatic latent image into a visible image by a developing unit with the use of a liquid developer with a coloring material of very fine particles mixed in an insulating solvent and transfers the visible image to a recording sheet with the use of a transfer roller with a heater reincorporated therein. In this color image forming apparatus, a partition wall is provided for covering the transfer roller as a solvent vapor producing source to prevent the diffusion of a solvent vapor, and a cooling panel constituting at least part of a surface of the partition wall opposite to the transfer roller is cooled to a temperature lower than an ambient temperature within the partition wall, whereby it is possible to suppress the diffusion of the solvent in the liquid developer to a minimal possible level and efficiently collect the solvent for recovery and to achieve a stable developing characteristic.

摘要： There is provided a photoreceptor cleanerless image forming apparatus capable of decreasing color mixture or an exposure error due to reverse transfer toner an untransferred toner. An image forming apparatus 100 according to the present invention comprises four image forming units 100a, 100b, 100c, and 100d configured to be photoreceptor cleanerless in a 4-drum tandem manner. Each image forming unit includes a photoreceptor 103a, 103b, 103c, or 103d, a charger 105a, 105b, 105c, or 105d, an exposure apparatus 106a, 106b, 106c, or 106d, and a developing apparatus 109a, 109b, 109c, or 109d. When exposure intensities Iy, Ic, Im, and Ik are assumed for exposure sources of the exposure apparatuses in the image forming units which form yellow, magenta, cyan, and black images, respectively, the exposure intensities are configured to satisfy conditions of Ik≧Ic≧Im≧Iy and Ik>Iy. This decreases an exposure error (image hysteresis) in an image formed on paper.
