    • A method of preparing a sterile and stable plasma-protein solution containing fibrinogen and Factor XIII from human blood plasma which has been stabilized with citrate, comprising treating the plasma with .beta.-propiolactone and irradiating it with ultraviolet light, removing the Factors II, VII, IX and X by adsorption onto anion exchangers that adsorb proteins, precipitating the companion proteins out by adding ethanol until the solution has a final concentration of about 9% by volume at -3.degree. C., centrifuging the precipitate off, dissolving the precipitate in a citrate buffer at a pH of about 6.35 and a temperature of about 37.degree. C., adjusting the protein level of the solution to about 13.3 g/l with sodium citrate solution, adding ethanol, a glycine citrate buffer, and a solution of sodium citrate to precipitate out the companion proteins, adding ethanol to the remaining solution until the solution has a final concentration of about 9% by volume at -3.degree. C., thereby precipitating fribrinogen and Factor XIII, dissolving the precipitate in a citrate buffer at a pH of about 6.35 and a temperature of about 37.degree. C., and filtering the solution.

    • A method is disclosed for modeling application-level objects in terms of join graphs defined over tables containing structured data residing in a relational database. In accordance with the disclosed metamodel, each object is modeled logically as a join graph. A query received from an application that requests the return of objects meeting certain conditions is reformulated to refer to the metamodel. The metamodel includes an index structure having a plurality of indexes and a set of join conditions that specify relationships between the indexes. Some series of join conditions form join paths, such that each join path originates on an anchor table and ends on a table corresponding to one of the plurality of indexes. The metamodel further includes at least one view representing a subgraph of the join graph having at least one anchor table as a key.

    • Indexing documents is accomplished by generating an inverted index for a collection of one or more documents, each document including one or more index terms. The inverted index includes an inverted list for each index term in the collection of documents. One or more inverted lists include a quantity of postings that exceeds a value x, a skip entry after the xth posting, and one or more additional skip entries thereafter at intervals of every yth posting. The value x is such that at least a majority of the index terms occur in x documents or fewer, and the value y is not equal to the value x.

    • An arrangement for relative angle of rotation adjustment of a camshaft of an internal-combustion engine has an interior part non-rotatably connected with the camshaft and having at least approximately radially extending webs or blades. A driven cell wheel has several cells distributed along the circumference and bounded by webs. The cells are divided by the webs or blades into pressure spaces. Sealing bodies are arranged in recesses provided on faces of the webs or blades. For sealing off the pressure spaces by a hydraulic action, the sealing bodies are pressed against an interior wall of the cell wheel. The sealing bodies are constructed as rollers which, provided with an installation play, are received in the recesses. During operation of the adjusting unit, the rollers, for sealing purposes, form line contacts with the interior wall of the cell wheel and with the lateral walls of the recesses.
