    • Disclosed is a tower top amplifier directly and detachably attached and electrically connected to an antenna of a base station for mobile communication. The tower top amplifier includes a tower top amplifying unit (20) connected to an antenna unit (10), and a connecting unit (30) provided on one surface of the antenna unit (10) for connecting the tower top amplifying unit (20) and the antenna unit (10). The tower top amplifying unit (20) is directly attached and electrically connected to the antenna unit (10) without any cable, thereby causing the tower top amplifier to be simply assembled and disassembled. The tower top amplifier does not require the cable exposed to the outside, thus having an aesthetic appearance. The tower top amplifying unit (20) having the same shape as that of the antenna unit (10) is detachably attached to the antenna unit (10), thereby being formed integrally with the antenna unit(10).

    • An antenna beam controlling system (ABCS) for use in cellular communication systems. The ABCS allows the antenna's horizontal beam direction and horizontal beam width to be remotely adjusted for optimum reception and transmission. The ABCS, in its basic design, is comprised of at least one antenna reflector that incorporates a reflecting disk for receiving and transmitting RF signals, an antenna rotating assembly, and an electronic controller. All the elements of the ABCS are housed within an antenna enclosure, such as a radome, which is maintained in an environmentally shielded condition by a top and bottom cover. The electronic controller is designed to remotely activate the ABCS and to control and optimize the position of the antenna reflector.

    • A channel allocation (FA) system for use in a wireless communication system includes a controller, d number of combiners, d number of switchable power divider/combiners and d number of switches. The FA system allocates FAs to N number of sectors of a base transceiver station. In the system, the controller groups N sector into M small groups and determining d and f, wherein N and M are positive integers and d and f are the number of dynamic FAs and the number of fixed FAs, respectively. The combiners combine the dynamic and the fixed FAs for said each small group and output d number of signals. The switches selectively connect the output signals to the switchable power divider/combiners, whereby the switchable power divider/combiners amplify signals inputted thereto at the same level in amplitude. Although the BTS switchably shares the dynamic FAs at each of the sectors, its service coverage area does not change because the final output power level of each FA is the same in amplitude. Therefore, both the number of total FAs allocated to the BTS and the related devices can be reduced without changing its service coverage area.
