摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a reconfigurable faceted reflector for producing a plurality of antenna patterns. The reconfigurable reflector includes a backing structure, a plurality of adjusting mechanisms mounted to the backing structure, and a plurality of reflector facets. Each of the plurality of reflector facets is coupled to a respective one of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms for adjusting the position of the reflector facet with which it is coupled. The reflector facets are arranged to produce a first antenna pattern of the plurality of antenna patterns. By adjusting the plurality of adjusting mechanisms, the position of each of the reflector facets coupled to the respective one of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms is adjusted so that the reflector facets are arranged to produce a second antenna pattern of the plurality of antenna patterns.

摘要： A multiple-feed antenna system includes a primary reflector that directs signals along a primary RF signal path and a subreflector assembly movable between a first position and a second position. When the subreflector assembly is in the first position, the subreflector assembly redirects signals traveling along the primary RF signal path to a first RF signal path. When the subreflector assembly is in the second position, the subreflector assembly redirects signals traveling along the primary RF signal path to a second RF signal path. The multiple-feed antenna system further includes: a first feed that intersects the first RF signal path and that communicates signals within a first frequency range; a second feed that intersects the second RF signal path and that communicates signals within a second frequency range; and an actuator that moves the subreflector assembly to the first position and to the second position.

摘要： A reconfigurable aperture includes a plurality of metallic particles confined to a volume extending across an aperture area. The metallic particles are repositioned within the volume to form opaque regions in the aperture area. The opaque regions, and transmissive regions between the opaque regions, can form a reconfigurable zone plate that can change the collimation of a microwave beam via diffraction therethrough. The zone plate can be located a fixed distance away from a microwave source and a detector in a housing, so that for any specified wavelength produced by the microwave source, the zone plate can reconfigure to have a focal length equal to the fixed distance. The reconfigurable zone plate can effectively collimate microwaves produced by the microwave source, can direct the collimated microwaves in a specified direction, can receive microwaves returning along the specified direction, and can focus the received microwaves onto the detector.

The interchange mechanism includes a rotary actuator having a fixed section mounted on an antenna structure and a mobile section rotating relative to the fixed section about a rotation axis. At least one carrier supports a reflector and is freely rotatably mounted on the fixed section for rotation about the rotation axis between first and second angular positions. An arm mounted on the mobile section carries a carrier engaging mechanism that successively and releasably engages the at least one carrier and displaces the at least one carrier from the first to the second angular position when the arm and the mobile section rotate in a first direction.

The waveguide is a split-block construction waveguide, which includes a seam between a first waveguide section and a second waveguide section. The first waveguide section and the second waveguide section form a waveguide cavity, and the seam corresponds to a low surface current location of a propagation mode of the waveguide. The apparatus also includes an antenna coupled to the port of the waveguide. The antenna is configured to (i) receive an electromagnetic signal and propagate the electromagnetic signal into the waveguide, and (ii) transmit a reflected electromagnetic signal from the waveguide. Additionally, the apparatus includes a reflecting component. The reflecting component is configured to provide a short in the waveguide along the length of the waveguide, and to move with a velocity to simulate a radar target having the velocity.

The reflective array surface includes a functional board that is configured to perform beam modulation on an incident electromagnetic wave and a reflection layer that is disposed on one side of the functional board and is configured to reflect an electromagnetic wave, where the functional board includes two or more functional board units and the reflection layer includes reflection units, where the number of reflection units corresponds to the number of functional board units, where the functional board unit and a reflection unit corresponding to the functional board constitute a phase-shifting unit that is used for phase shifting. According to the reflective array surface in the present invention, a functional board unit and a reflection unit corresponding to the functional board unit constitute a phase-shifting unit that is used for phase shifting, which can solve a problem in the prior art that a phase-shifting effect is not exquisite enough and a beam modulation capability for an electromagnetic wave is poor, thereby affecting bandwidth and working performance of a reflective array antenna. In addition, the present invention further provides a reflective array antenna.
