    • A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided. The liquid crystal display comprises a liquid crystal panel; a gate driver; a data driver; a timing controller supplying a control signal of the gate driver and a control signal of the data driver and supplying a brightness variable signal depending on an average of gray levels of image data; and a backlight unit adjusting a brightness level of the lamp in response to a plurality of brightness variable signals, wherein the timing controller divides the liquid crystal panel into a first division area, which displays image data, equal to or smaller than an average of reference gray levels and dispersion of reference gray levels and a second division area comprising areas other than the first division area by calculating an average and dispersion of gray levels of the image data with a line unit, and supplies a first brightness variable signal adjusting a brightness level of the first division area and a second brightness variable signal adjusting a brightness level of the second division area.

    • A data driver and an organic light emitting display device including the data driver. The data driver including a shift register part to generate sampling signals in sequence, a latch part to store external data in response to the sampling signals, a current digital-analog converter to generate a data current corresponding to the data stored in the latch part, and a comparator producing a current corresponding to the difference between a pixel current and the data current. The comparator compares the pixel current fed back from each pixel with the data current, controls the data voltage by increasing or decreasing the current output, and supplies the controlled data voltage to the pixel. By controlling the data voltage an image is displayed with desired brightness regardless of non-uniformity of transistors in each pixel.

    • A circuit has been developed that reduces the effective strength of a keeper circuit during an interval in which at least one path of an evaluation circuit is sensitive to a keeper device. The keeper circuit includes a keeper gating device coupled to a keeper device that is responsive to a keeper control. The keeper device is sized to overcome leakage current in the evaluation circuit. In some configurations, the keeper circuit includes a weak keeper device that is minimally sized to overcome noise while the keeper device is effectively disabled. In some configurations, the reduction in effective strength of the keeper circuit occurs before arrival of the fastest signal coupled to a sensitive output path of the evaluation circuit and the effective strength is restored after arrival of the slowest signal coupled to the sensitive output path of the evaluation circuit.
