    • A pulsing combustion device wherein a floating valve member having a plurality of ports therethrough reciprocates due to the pressure differential of a pressurized supply of combustible mixture on one side and pressurized combustion mixture on the other side closing and opening communication through the ports between the supply of combustible mixture and the combustion chamber. Flat plate floating valve members are disclosed which direct the combustible mixture along the periphery of the combustion chamber. The pulsing combustion device may have at least one constrictor plate having an exhaust port with a cross section relatively small with respect to the cross section of the combustion chamber located across the combustion chamber above the zone of combustion to enhance combustion and heat exchange. The pulsing combustion device may be used as a steam producing device, a steam cleaning device, a heating device, a water heater, or for any other fluid heating purpose.

    • A combination doll and accessory is provided in which the doll has an articulated limb mounted for movement relative to the doll's torso and pneumatically actuated bellows in the body for moving the limb upon application of pressure to an air reservoir contained in the doll's body. An accessory for use with the doll, for example a carriage, includes a second air reservoir and a conduit which can be connected to the air reservoir in the doll's body through a selectively operable valve. When the doll is connected to the accessory the articulated limb can be actuated by either squeezing the doll or the air reservoir on the carriage.

    • An improved coal deashing process wherein coal is mixed with a first dissolving solvent, heated, solubilized and flashed to provide a prepared mixture. The flashing is effected at a temperature below about 650.degree. F. to increase the amount of the first dissolving solvent in the prepared mixture. The prepared mixture then is mixed with a second dissolving solvent to produce a feed mixture which is subjected to two or more successive phase separations. Insoluble coal products present are separated from the feed mixture in a first separation zone and the soluble coal products are recovered from the first and the second dissolving solvents in a second separation zone. The second dissolving solvent is recovered from the first and the second heavy fractions and the second light fraction for recycling to aid in producing the feed mixture. The first dissolving solvent is recovered from the first and second flash zones. This results in an enhanced recovery of the first dissolving solvent for recycle for utilization in the initial solubilization of the coal.

    • A fire extinguishing access port includes a port and nozzle assembly where the nozzle has a plurality of radial outlets defining a pattern of dispersal for a fire extinguishing agent. According to a presently preferred embodiment, the port and nozzle assembly is dimensioned to be mounted in an existing mounting hole (e.g. a switch mounting hole) of an aircraft electrical panel with the nozzle residing in the rear of the panel and the port residing on the front of the panel. A plurality of different nozzles are provided for different electrical panels, each nozzle having a different pattern of dispersal. A fire extinguisher access port kit includes a plurality of threaded nozzles, each with different dispersal patterns, a plurality of threaded ports which mate with the nozzles, and a plurality of different length threaded tubes which mate with the nozzles and the ports. According to the presently preferred embodiment, the nozzles are provided with a plurality if radial slots which deflect the flow of fire extinguishing agent substantially perpendicular to the direction of entry through the port. This provides excellent dispersal of fire extinguishing agent throughout the electrical compartment and also provides two unexpected advantages, prevents foreign objects from passing through the port and potentially causing a short circuit, and eliminates the possibility of blowback.
