摘要： An electricity supply management device includes a solar cell; a commercial Alternating Current (AC) power source; and a storage battery, in which the storage battery is charged by an electric power from the solar cell, and a power from at least one of the solar cell, the commercial AC power source and the storage battery is supplied to one or more load devices. A power consumption level by the load devices is controlled based on comparison result between a power generation amount by the solar cell and a power consumption amount by the load devices, and a charge level of the storage battery indicative of a ratio of charging to capacity of the storage battery.

The system includes a mobile terminal carried by a person to acquire the GPS data from GPS satellites and transmits the same upon a request by the person to a message center where the GPS data is processed to calculate the person(s position. The mobile terminal simply acquires the GPS data which is invalid for calculation of the position if the request is made where the GPS satellite is not available. For successfully locating the person's position, the mobile terminal acquires the GPS data regularly at different times in accordance with a time schedule and stores the time-series sets of the GPS data which are transmitted together with a current GPS data acquired in response to the support request, thereby giving the latest available position of the person if the current GPS data is found invalid.

摘要： The appliance control system includes electrical appliances and an appliance control device. The appliance control device includes a control unit configured to, upon receiving an energy conservation instruction indicative of a total reduction amount, send a control signal including common control order indicative of an individual reduction amount of the power consumption of the electrical appliance to at least one of the electrical appliances based on the total reduction amount. Each electrical appliance includes a functional unit having plural operation states with different power consumption, a control instruction storage unit storing plural control instructions for changing the operation state, an individual storage unit storing individual control information indicative of a correspondence relation between the individual reduction amount and the control instruction, and an operation control unit. Upon receiving the control signal, the operation control unit selects the control instruction associated with the individual reduction amount indicated by the common control order included in the received control signal with reference to the individual control information, and provides the selected control instruction to the functional unit. The functional unit performs an energy conservation control process of changing the operation state in accordance with the received control instruction.

摘要： An intra-premises communication system enables the use of a preinstalled wired transmission channels, yet allowing a particular communication system to be located at a desired region in the premises. The system comprises an exchange box adapted to be installed in the premises and provided with different interfaces for connection to different networks. A plurality of the wired transmission channels extend from the exchange box and terminate to receptacles which are installed in the premises and have common connectors. A plurality of indoor wireless terminals of different types are provided for use within the premises. A plurality of local transmitter-receivers of different types are provided in correspondence to the types of the wireless terminals. Each of the local transmitter-receivers is detachably and selectively mounted to the common connector of the receptacle for wired communication with one of the networks through the associated transmission channel. The local transmitter-receivers have individual antennas or the like member for wireless communication with at least one of the terminals. The exchange box includes a switch for connecting the transmission channels selectively to particular ones of the interfaces, thereby allocating local transmitter-receivers and the associated terminals to the different networks. The receptacles can be preinstalled in the like fashion as the conventional electrical receptacles so that a desired wireless communication system can be located at a suitable region simply by mounting the local transmitter-receiver of the selected type to the common connector of the receptacle.
