摘要： The electromagnetic shutter in a camera having an exposure control circuit comprises shutter blades for opening and closing the aperture of the shutter, a shutter control circuit having a photoelectric element for measuring the scene brightness so as to generate the proper exposure signal, holding means for releasably holding the shutter blades in closed positions, spring means for opening the shutter blades when the shutter blades in the closed positions are released, and electromagnetic driving means actuated by the proper exposure signal for driving the shutter blades from the open positions to the closed positions against the action of spring means so as to permit the shutter blades to be held in the closed positions by the holding means. An energy saving is thereby achieved, because it is only necessary to actuate the holding means so as to release the shutter blades in the closed positions to open the shutter blades by the action of the spring means and to actuate the electromagnetic driving means for moving the shutter blades from open positions to closed positions at which the shutter blades are retained by the holding means.

摘要： In a light-emitting diode, a substantially square flip chip is placed on a substantially square sub-mount at a position and posture which are obtained through superposition of a center point and center axis of the flip chip on a center point and center axis of the sub-mount and subsequent rotation of the flip chip about the center points by approximately 45°. Therefore, triangular exposed regions are formed on the sub-mount, in which two lead electrodes for the flip chip can be formed. As a result, the flip chip can be placed on a lead frame such that the center axis of the flip chip coincides with the center axis of a parabola of the lead frame. Further, the sub-mount is formed of a semiconductor substrate, and a diode for over-voltage protection is formed within the semiconductor substrate. Therefore, breakage of the light-emitting diode due to excessive voltage can be prevented.

摘要： An active matrix liquid crystal display element and a projection type active matrix liquid crystal display device by which a display can be obtained which is good in color balance and high in brightness and also in contrast ratio. The display element includes a liquid crystal material held between an active matrix substrate and a counter electrode substrate. The liquid crystal material is formed from a liquid crystal polymer composite wherein nematic liquid crystal is contained dispersively in a polymer matrix having a refractive index which coincides with the ordinary refractive index of the liquid crystal used, and a silicon thin film transistor is used as an active element on the active matrix substrate. The display device includes such an active matrix liquid crystal display element, a light source for projection light, and an optical system of projection.

A pair of control valves are provided at control fluid passages for supplying control jets into the throat portion of the nozzle in order to control the deflection of fluid flowing therethrough. A continuous straightforward flow is generated by simultaneous opening of said control valves.
