摘要： A rotary type switch for switching a relatively large plurality of independent circuits from one set of contact to a second set of contacts for manual or remote operation using a solenoid or linear actuator. The switch utilizes as contacts a simple wire form cantilevered for compliance at one end, and free to move vertically at an opposite end. A plurality of bridging contacts, properly sized and plated shorts adjacent pairs of wires together when the contacts move in an arcuate path or motion, causing the wires in the path to deflect, and causing the contacts to bridge pairs of adjacent wires to complete a circuit between them. Insulative members are positioned adjacent the gaps between the bridging contacts to limit the degree of flexing of the wires during movement of the bridging contacts.

The devices serve the purposes of separating individual groups of conductors for ready identification, and shield the hands of service personnel from accidental contact with the projecting ends of said pins while working on an adjacent block. The devices include a pair of parallel side walls interconnected by a bottom or base wall having openings for resiliently engaging said pins at predetermined intervals along the principal axis thereof. The side walls contain slots for the entry of tools for selective pin removal and replacement, without the necessity of removal of the guide or unaffected wiring.

摘要： A new and improved bracket or cradle for use in conjunction with terminal blocks for effecting connections in the telephonic, data transmisison and related fields is presented. In accordance with the present invention, the cradle comprises a generally rectangular bracket having a rear face and two opposed side faces transverse to the rear face. Each of the three faces include openings therein for receiving conventional male or female connector elements. In accordance with an important feature of the present invention, the longitudinal upper surfaces of the opposed faces each include a plurality of wire guide openings for positioning and retaining wires; and providing improved wire management to the bracket. Each wire guide opening is defined by a pair of spaced, alternating substantially T-shaped and longitudinal extensions which are positioned along the longitudinal upper surfaces to define an array of teeth. Another important feature of the cradle of the present invention is the provision of cable tie down located on the rear surface of the bracket. This cable tie down feature permits a cable which is run through the bracket to be tightly secured subsequent to installation. Still another important feature of the present invention is an improved snap-on attachment for effecting more reliable and secure attachment to a terminal block. This snap-on attachment is positioned along the upper surfaces of the opposed side faces.
