    • A method is provided for controlling engine stop position in a vehicle having an engine with auto stop/auto start functionality. The method includes automatically ramping down engine speed upon initiation of an auto stop event, executing closed-loop speed control of the engine when the engine speed begins to ramp down, and for as long as the engine speed remains above a threshold engine speed while ramping down the engine speed; executing closed-loop position control of the engine while ramping down the engine speed once the engine speed is less than the threshold engine speed and greater than zero; and stopping the crankshaft to within a calibrated range of a targeted engine stop position. A controller is also provided that includes a hardware module and an algorithm adapted for executing the foregoing method, and a vehicle is provided having an engine with auto stop/start functionality and the controller noted above.

    • The present invention provides a method for attaching a protection film of a liquid crystal display module, including the following steps: (1) providing a liquid crystal display module protection film and a liquid crystal display module, wherein the liquid crystal display module protection film includes a protection film body and adhesive layers formed at edges of the protection film body and the liquid crystal display module includes a backlight module, a liquid crystal display panel disposed on the backlight module, and a front bezel disposed on the liquid crystal display panel; (2) aligning the liquid crystal display module protection film with respect to the front bezel of the liquid crystal display module; and (3) attaching the adhesive layers of the liquid crystal display module protection film to the front bezel of the liquid crystal display module so as to cover the liquid crystal display panel.

    • An arithmetic device includes a database that stores a first indicator representing a base unit included in a unit system being assigned with a prime number other than a prime factor of a prefix, and a second indicator derived by combining the base units, in a form of a simple fraction; a conversion section that obtains a plurality of physical quantities each including a quantity, a prefix, and possibly a unit, to derive a third indicator by converting the unit into the first indicator and multiplying the converted first indicator by the prefix, or when the unit belongs to the derived unit, by converting the unit into the second indicator and multiplying the converted second indicator by the prefix; and an arithmetic section that performs calculation between the quantities of the plurality of physical quantities and between the third indicators.
