    • A common use pedal device for automotive vehicles comprises a base plate and a pedal pivotably attached to the base plate and having a push rod extending downwards from an underneath surface of the pedal. A rotating member is mounted to the base plate in such a manner that the rotating member can be depressed and rotated by the push rod of the pedal, the rotating member having a pulling arm adapted to pull a manual operating cable in response to rotation of the rotating member. A rotation detecting sensor is provided on one side of the base plate for detecting the degree of rotation of the rotating member and then notifying an electronic control unit of the degree of rotation thus detected. This pedal device can be employed in common in a manually controlled pedal type vehicle and an electronically controlled pedal type vehicle.

    • The present invention discloses an apparatus for sealing a water pump bearing in which the bearing comprises a plurality of rolling elements arranged between an inner race and an outer race, a retainer for maintaining a prescribed space between each rolling element, and a seal coupled to a tip end of an opening in the space formed between the inner race and the outer race. The seal comprises a first seal equipped with a first reinforcing frame that is inserted into an inner axial section of bearing, and a second seal equipped with a second reinforcing frame that is inserted into an outer axial section of the bearing for coupling with the first seal. The first seal further comprises a first seal element that is inserted into an inner radial section of the first reinforcing frame and has two seal lips abutted to an inner radial section of the second reinforcing frame, and the second seal further comprises a second seal element that is inserted into an outer radial section of the second reinforcing frame and has two seal lips abutted to a central radial section of the first reinforcing frame, such that leakage of grease in the apparatus is prevented, and moisture, foreign particles and mixtures thereof are avoided from penetrating into the bearing, thereby increasing the durability of the water pump bearing.

    • The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device. According to the present invention, an ONO1 HTO film and an ONO2 nitride film are sequentially formed on a polysilicon layer for floating gate and an oxide film for ONO3 is formed as a SiON film by oxidizing the surface of the ONO2 nitride film. Thus, the oxide film for ONO3 having a better film quality and a high dielectric constant compared to an existing HTO oxide film is formed. Accordingly, capacitance and a breakdown voltage are increased and charge leakage and retention properties are thus improved. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce the cost through reduction in process by replacing an ONO3 annealing process and a subsequent high temperature steam annealing process with a single process.
