    • An optical disc drive for reading the recorded data on an optical disc is provided. The optical disc drive includes a chassis, a turntable and a pickup head. The inner top surface of the chassis has a protruding structure or an escape-prevention component. The turntable is disposed inside the chassis for holding and rotating the optical disc. The protruding structure or the escape-prevention component is located above the optical disc when the optical disc is placed onto the turntable inside the chassis. The movable pickup head is disposed inside the chassis for reading the data recorded on the optical disc. The protruding structure or the escape-prevention component shortens the distance between the top surface of the optical disc and the inner top surface of the chassis. Thus, the optical disc is prevented from escaping from the turntable when the optical disc drive vibrates due to an external force.

    • An optical disk drive includes a main body and a tray. A tray locking mechanism includes a base fixed to the tray, a locking device installed on the base for combining with or separating from a stop pin of the main body, a transmission device installed on the base for driving the locking device, and a control device installed on the base for stopping the transmission device. When the locking device combines with the stop pin of the main body, the tray can be locked to the main body, and when the transmission device drives the locking device to be separated from the stop pin of the main body, the tray can eject from the main body and the control device can stop the transmission device from rotating.

    • A disk reading device operates in both a suction mode and a cover-lifting mode. The device has a lower cover having a wall with an elongated opening provided in the wall, an upper cover that is connected for pivoting movement with respect to the lower cover, and a disk receiving space between the lower and upper covers. The disk receiving space is accessible via the elongated opening in a suction mode and by opening the upper cover with respect to the lower cover in a cover-lifting mode. A disk is drawn via the elongated opening into the disk receiving space, or a disk can be manually placed in the disk receiving space by opening the upper cover with respect to the lower cover. The device also includes a switch that switches operation of the disk reading device from the suction mode to the cover-lifting mode.
