    • An actuator includes: a coil for excitation; a rotor rotatably supported; a stator effecting a magnetic force on the rotor for rotation, the stator having first and second leg portions arranged side by side; and first and second coil frames each having a body portion and a pair of flange portions provided at an end of the body portion. The first coil frame is assembled onto the first leg portion. The second coil frame is assembled onto the second leg portion. The first and second coil frames are connected via a connecting portion bendable. The body portions are arranged not to be sandwiched between the first and second leg portions. Each of the body portions covers a halfway or less of each of peripheral surfaces of the first and second leg portions of the stator.

    • A motion converter includes a reduction gear mechanism and a stationary cylindrical portion. The reduction gear mechanism includes an input shaft, an external gear eccentrically rotatable about the input shaft, an internal gear internally meshing with the external gear and having a small number of difference between teeth of the internal gear and those of the external gear, and an disc for extracting only a rotational component of the external gear. The stationary cylindrical portion surrounds a periphery of the extracting member. Screw portions are respectively formed at an outer periphery of the extracting member and at an inner periphery of the stationary cylindrical portion, and screw together and support the disc for movement in a direction of the input shaft in response to an amount of rotation of the disc.

    • A step motor includes a rotor having four magnetic poles, a first magnetic pole magnetically excited by a first coil, a second magnetic pole magnetically excited by a second coil, and a third magnetic pole magnetically excited by the first coil and the second coil. A gap D between the third magnetic pole and the rotor is larger than a gap d between the first magnetic pole and the rotor and the gap d between the second magnetic pole and the rotor, so that a magnetic attraction is generated between a pole of the rotor and the first magnetic pole and between another pole of the rotor and the second magnetic pole. With this step motor applied to a shutter driving mechanism of a camera, it is possible to surely retain the shutter state even when the current does not flow.
