The sheet is passed through a laser or ink jet printer, printing the desired identifying or other indicia on the blanks. The blanks are then separated along the substantial-cut and through-cut lines and the waste sheet portions at the ends, sides, and between the columns are disposed of. The business cards separate cleanly along the substantial-cut lines, superior to the microperforated business card separation lines. Even with the substantial-cut and full-cut lines, the card stock sheets have enough integrity to reliably pass through the printer without breaking apart.

摘要： A one piece mailer for use in laser printers or xerographic copying machines includes a standard size sheet which may be employed in laser printers or xerographic machines without special handling equipment and involves printing on one side only of the mailer. In addition, stable adhesive material is employed for sealing the one piece mailer which will not run or contaminate the office machines, when it is subject to several hundred degrees heat. This adhesive is preferably a water-activated adhesive other than natural gum (which is heat-activated). The first embodiment of the invention includes a mailing sheet having an upper and lower half, with the upper half carrying the addresses and the message, and the lower half having windows which match the location of the addresses on the upper half of the mailer. The second embodiment of the invention involves a mailer having a first full sheet having an upper portion on which the messages are printed, and a lower portion on which the addresses are printed. On the rear side of the main sheet is a short partial sheet toward the bottom of the main sheet forming an envelope, and with a transverse strip of adhesive immediately above the envelope pocket to seal the envelope. Perforations extend across the main sheet just above the adhesive-coated strip, so that the message section may be separated from the envelope portion, and the message portion folded and placed within the envelope, and the envelope sealed.

摘要： An image transfer assembly (12) receives an image printed from an ink jet printer. The assembly (12) provides a device to transfer the printed image onto an image-receiving surface. The assembly (12) has a flexible substrate (16) on one side, and an upper surface (20) on the other side that is substantially permeable to ink jet printer ink and that is non-tacky prior to printing. The assembly (12) has an adhesive or polymer layer (14) in between the upper surface (20) and the flexible substrate (16). After printing with a water-based ink jet printer ink, the user may apply the assembly (12) to a substrate, such as a window or other surface, and remove the flexible substrate (16), thereby leaving the layer (14) that bears the image on the substrate. In one of several alternative embodiments, the layer (14) is divided into discrete zones that are separated from one another along boundaries.

摘要： Image-recording technology records images displayed on a screen onto an image sheet. An image-recording assembly has an image sheet and an associated opaque shield. The shield is slidable to expose the image sheet to the image displayed on the screen. The image sheet may be of the type which has microcapsules containing photo-hardenable chemicals coated onto a base sheet. The image-recording assembly is positioned in front of a screen displaying an image with a user exposing the image sheet by shiffing the position of the shield. The exposure time may be controlled manually by the user or automatically by software displaying the image on the screen. To develop the image sheet, unexposed microcapsules are ruptured by either applying pressure to the image sheet or forcefully sliding the image sheet across a sharp edge. The image-recording assembly may be flexible and is preferably less than 15 mils thick.

摘要： A label sheet assembly for transparent paper labels has a substantially transparent paper label sheet with a substantially transparent, pressure sensitive adhesive coating. Labels are die cut out of the paper label sheet. The paper label sheet is mounted on a backing sheet, which has a release coating to allow removal of the labels. The pressure sensitive adhesive may be stable in the presence of temperatures up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit so that the labels may be printed in a laser printer. The label sheet assembly may be printed in its entirety by an ink jet printer or xerographic printer with a resulting high print quality. A method for printing transparent label sheet assemblies comprises forming double thickness label sheet assemblies, creating a paper supply, feeding label sheet assemblies from the paper supply through xerographic and ink jet printers, removing labels from a backing sheet, and applying the labels to products to be labeled. By using transparent paper labels, this method allows a single source of transparent label sheet assemblies to supply a variety of different printers, including ink jet, and xerographic printers.
