    • A scaling apparatus and method scales uncertainty criteria (horizontal and vertical accuracy requirements) originally received from an end user before the uncertainty criteria is sent on to a wireless terminal (30) as requirements on the accuracy of location positioning performed by/for the wireless terminal. In an example embodiment the amount/degree of scaling is selected according to a configured best estimate of the confidence and uncertainty relation, and such best estimate can be based on the majority of the terminals of the network. For a WCDMA radio access network (RAN) case the scaling can be performed in a radio network controller (RNC). For a Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access network (RAN) case the scaling can be performed in the evolved Serving Mobile Location Center (eSMLC) node. In another case the scaling can alternatively be performed in the wireless terminal itself.

    • A method for providing a mobile station, being connected to a wireless communication system, with GPS assistance data, comprises obtaining (210) of correction data of a satellite based augmentation system. The method further comprises obtaining (220) of assistance data of an assisted global positioning system. Modified values of standard parameters of either assistance data of the assisted global positioning system or correction data of differential global positioning system, or both, are determined (230) from the correction data of the satellite based augmentation system in dependence on the assistance data of the assisted global positioning system. The modified values of the standard parameters are transmitted (240) from the core network to the mobile station. A node implementing the method and a system comprising such a node are also presented.

    • A virtual network is created by providing antennas controlled by the same radio access station with control signals of virtual radio access stations. Sets of physical channels comprising the control signals are dedicated to the respective antennas, while sets of physical channels comprising only traffic channels constitute common resources for more than one antenna. One example embodiment is applied in antenna systems utilizing common antenna cables, whereby the radio access station is provided as a distributor having a central broadcast control signal injector and control signal selectors at the antennas.
