摘要： A metal roof panel includes a rib with a unique shape. The rib is bilateral with upwardly angled sides that each transition into an indentation, with both indentations transitioning into a central flat apex. Between each rib is a channel, preferably including at least one raised surface. The lower surface of the channel between the raised surfaces, and the top of the raised surfaces, are substantially planar and parallel to the flat surface of the apex of the panel. A unique method of manufacturing the roof panel employs a roll machine configured to shape a piece of sheet metal into the roof panel by modifying the shape in many small increments, which allows the final product to have a fairly intricate bend pattern.

摘要： The invention provides a system for installing a rail and closure assembly on a metal roof. The rail and closure assembly includes a supporting rail and closure structure adapted to be supported by adjacent rib elevations of the roof, and an overlying load adapted to be supported by the rail and closure structure. The rail and closure structure diverts water around the rail and closure assembly. The entire heights of the side rails, including the rail bottoms, are above the closest portions of the panel flats. At least one panel of each of the side rails faces the respective rib along the full length of the respective side rail. The rail and closure assembly also includes a lower closure. Opposing ends of the lower closure extend upwardly and interface with the ribs. The lower closure further comprises a lower flange which interfaces with a respective panel flat.

摘要： An interlocking panel system for top-down installation on an underlying structure including a plurality of panels, with an uphill course and a downhill course where each panel is generally rectangular, having an uphill edge and opposing downhill edge. An interlocking member is disposed along the uphill edge, and a receiving member adapted to receive the interlocking member and a joining flange are disposed along the downhill edge. A panel of the uphill course is affixed to an underlying structure via fasteners through the joining flange. The interlocking member of a panel of the downhill course is insertable into the receiving member of the uphill course, and the position of the panel of the downhill course is adjustable within the span of the receiving member.

Side rails containing a notch in the upper end are configured to receive a flashing member proximate the ridge of the roof. 摘要： Metal roofing panels have a forward edge portion with a downwardly extending skirt and return flange and a rear edge or headlap portion with an upwardly open channel and a locking tab extending over a portion of the upwardly open channel. A method of installing the roofing panels includes nailing a lower course of panels in end-to-end overlapping relationship to a roof deck. The forward edge portions of panels in the next higher course of panels are then pressed downwardly into the upwardly open channels of the lower course panels. The return flanges of the upper course panels snap beneath the locking tabs of the upwardly open channels thus locking the panels together and forming a watertight connection between courses of panels.
