摘要： A tail lamp for use on an automotive vehicle with a large rake angle has a lens, a reflector, a source of light and a means for attachment of the tail light to the vehicle. The reflector has a pillowed reflective surface that is substantially vertically oriented and rearward facing, having a basic surface provided with a plurality of pillows. Each of the pillows has a set of corner control points defining the corners of said pillow, a set of edge control points defining the edges of said pillow and a set of interior control points. Each pillow also has a predetermined horizontal curvature angle from a tangent of the basic surface to a horizontal tangent of the pillowed surface and a predetermined vertical curvature angle from a tangent of the basic surface to a vertical tangent of the pillowed surface, measured at a corner control point of said pillow. The lens has a plurality of flutes on an interior surface thereof.

摘要： An automobile headlamp is equipped with a lamp body that can deal with different aiming specifications. An automobile headlamp such that a light source unit in a lamp body is made tiltable vertically and horizontally by an aiming mechanism, and rotatable portions of a vertical and a horizontal aiming screw as members of the aiming mechanism, are provided outside the lamp body, so that these rotatable portions are turned to adjust the light source unit by tilting the light source vertically and horizontally. A cap can be fitted to the rotatable portion of at least the horizontal adjustable aiming screw in order to cover the rotatable portion thereof where horizontal aiming is unnecessary according to specifications applicable to the headlamp. Thus, horizontal aiming is made ineffective by not allowing a rotatable tool to engage with the rotatable portion of the horizontal aiming screw.

In one embodiment, an instrument panel illumination system comprises three light sources that produce nominally white light and three associated diffusing filters, one red, one green, one blue. In another embodiment different colors of illumination are provided by light sources producing different colors of light, such as, for example, a plurality of high intensity red, green, and blue light emitting diodes ("LED's"). In one embodiment, a plurality of triplets of red, green and blue high intensity LED's are mounted above a white diffusing filter. In one embodiment, a plurality of colored light sources are mounted in an instrument housing behind the instrument's bezel.

摘要： A supporting bar structure for a vehicle includes an elongated bar and a pair of end support means for supporting the bar above the roof of the vehicle. The bar includes substantially planar top and bottom surfaces, and at least one longitudinally extending T-shaped slot is provided in each of the surfaces. Attachment means are slidably received in each of the slots, and each attachment means includes shoulders which extend laterally outwardly beyond the edges of the slot to prevent removal of the attachment means therefrom. The bar is shorter than the width of the vehicle, and one of the support means includes clamping means for securing one end of the bar to the side of the vehicle roof which the other support means includes a suction cup for securing the other end of the bar to the vehicle roof. Each of the support means includes attachment means which are threadedly engageable with the attachment means in the bottom wall slot to tighten the shoulders of the attachment means in the slot against the bottom wall of the bar, and the attachment means in the top wall slot can be used to secure warning lights, sirens, and the like to the support bar.
