摘要： Disclosed are adhesive formulations as creping process aids for producing an absorbent creped cellulosic sheet having a high level of surface-perceived softness that comprises continuously forming a web of cellulosic papermaking fibers, adhering said web to a thermal drying means by means of adhesive compositions comprising polymers having at least one primary or secondary amine group in the backbone such as chitosan, polyvinylamine, polyvinyl alcohol-vinyl amine and polyaminoamide in combination with crosslinking agents such as dialdehydes or zirconium compounds having a valence of plus four including ammonium zirconium carbonate, zirconium acetylacetonate, zirconium acetate, zirconium carbonate, zirconium sulfate, zirconium phosphate, potassium zirconium carbonate, zirconium sodium phosphate and sodium zirconium tartrate and creping said treated web from said thermal drying means. In the method for producing the absorbent creped cellulosic sheets, the zirconium crosslinking agent is advantageously applied directly and separately on the Yankee dryer at the time the base polymer is applied to the surface. Alternatively, when using dialdehydes, the dialdehydes are mixed with the base polymer just prior to application to the Yankee dryer surface without having the crosslinking reaction take place with the base polymer prior to reaching the heated Yankee surface. These sheets are useful in the manufacture of tissue and towel.

摘要： Enzymatic dehalogenation of undesirable nitrogen-free organohalogen compounds is carried out by adding bacteria to an aqueous composition comprising a nitrogen-free organohalogen compound and a nitrogen-containing cationic polymer. 摘要： A method is provided for enhancing the controlled release characteristics of paper or plastic substrates by applying onto the substrate, a UV curable mixture of an epoxysilicone, an arylonium salt catalyst, such as a diaryliodoniumhexafluoroantimonate and a controlled release additive such as a phenolpropyl-substituted methyldisiloxane or an alkylphenol, such as dodecylphenol. The treated plastic or paper substrate is then subjected to UV irradiation to effect a tack-free cure of the UV curable mixture on the substrate.

摘要： Paper-covered gypsum wallboard of increased racking resistance which has been strengthened by impregnation completely through the thickness of the cover paper, at least throughout certain critical areas, by coating and subsequent absorption thereinto of water-free polymeric solutions. A most significant improvement results from impregnation thereinto of a moisture-curing isocyanate resin, preferably a semiprepolymer of a polyisocyanate and a polyol in combination with a viscosity reducing solvent, such as mineral spirits or xylene, and a catalyst. Improved mobile home walls are formed with the impregnated areas of gypsum board back face paper disposed over and adhered to framing members with glue or the like.

The distribution step (12, 14) is carried out so as to distribute over the solid material (3, 9) an amount of the at least one fatty acid chloride (1) of between 20 mg/m2 and 1 g/m2 surface area of the solid material (3, 9).
