    • A method of and apparatus for minimizing the problem of "fluting" or "corrugating" occuring in printed webs of light weight coated paper printed on both sides with thermosetting ink on heat-set web-offset printing presses resides in spreading the web in its width-wise direction as the printed web exits from the ink drying and heat setting oven of the press and passes over the web cooling chill rolls downstream from the oven, thereby to hold the printed web in a flat and smooth condition until it is cooled and the ink has taken a permanent set. Spreading the web prior to and during cooling allows the inks to thermoset in a flat state because the web is kept flat and free of flutes during thermosetting of the inks. The method and apparatus facilitate operation of the press at higher speeds and with lighter grades of paper than conventional, and provide for increased production efficiencies, lower costs, enhanced print quality, and access to new markets for web-offset printing.

    • A stacking device in a printer or copier for stacking a strip-like, prefolded recording medium has, as feed arrangement, a motor-driven feed roller (13) and a plurality of adjacently arranged pressure rollers for pressing the recording medium (10) against the feed roller (13). The two outer pressure rollers (16/1, 16/2) in respect of the edge regions of the recording medium are designed as guide pressure rollers which change their inclination of the axes of rotation in dependence on the transporting direction of the paper or recording medium and thus make the recording medium taut between the guide pressure rollers. This prevents undesirable bunching, creasing or deformation caused by slack in the paper between the pressure rollers. In order to achieve this change in the inclination of the axes of rotation, the guide pressure rollers (16/1, 16/2) contain an eccentric axle arrangement.

    • An winding apparatus, particularly for winding a film condensor element material. The apparatus includes a plate jig having a winding axis, with the plate jig rotating as a pressing roller presses the film onto the plate jig. The pressing roller is mounted for rotation about a rotating axis with a spring disposed between the pressing roller and rotating axis, and with the pressing roller rotating in the same direction as the direction of rotation of the plate jig. As the plate jig rotates, the pressing roller travels along the plate jig to press the film condensor element thereon.
