摘要： Mental state analysis is performed by obtaining video of an individual as the individual interacts with a computer, either by performing various operations, such as driving a vehicle or being a passenger in a vehicle, or by consuming a media presentation. The video is analyzed to determine eye-blink information on the individual, such as eye-blink rate or eye-blink duration. The blink-rate information is compensated for a context. Blinking for a group of people of which the individual is a part is evaluated. Mental states of the individual are inferred for the blink event based on the blink event, the blink duration of the individual, the difference in blinking between the individual and the remainder of the group, and the blink-rate information that was compensated. The blink-rate information and associated mental states can be used to modify an advertisement, a media presentation, a digital game, or vehicle controls.

The method further includes processing the second image data using a vehicle parameter and/or driving parameter, to obtain processed second image data. Finally, the method includes combining the first image data with the processed second image data to obtain the image of the surroundings of the vehicle.

摘要： Methods, systems, and processor-readable media for detecting the side window of a vehicle. A spatial probability map can be calculated, which includes data indicative of likely side window locations of a vehicle in an image. A side window detector can be run with respect to the image of the vehicle to determine detection scores. The detection scores can be weighted based on the spatial probability map. A detected region of interest can be extracted from the image as extracted image patch. An image classification can then be performed with respect to the extracted patch to provide a classification that indicates whether or not a passenger is in the vehicle or no-passenger is in the vehicle.

A driver monitoring controller receives video images of a driver and transmits control messages to a driver facing camera. The driver monitoring controller receives a signal indicating that the driver desires to disable the driver facing camera. The driver monitoring controller receives messages indicating a vehicle state. The control logic of the driver monitoring controller disables the driver facing camera by transmitting a control message to disable the driver facing camera in response to a control input indicating the driver desires to disable the driver facing camera and a vehicle state message indicating a vehicle state does not meet a predetermined condition. The control logic of the driver monitoring controller enables the camera automatically in response to a vehicle state message indicating the vehicle state meets the predetermined condition.
