    • A transfer system is described including a subsea installation fixed relative to a seabed, and a transfer element for transfer of fluid, electrical signals, or electric current between the subsea installation and a floating arrangement. The transfer element is configured to connect to the subsea installation and includes a connector for connecting to the floating arrangement. The transfer system includes a buoyancy element anchored to the seabed, and has a through-going hole in the vertical direction. The transfer element extends through the hole and is movable in both directions through the hole. The transfer element includes a fender system that extends at least partially around the circumference of the transfer element. The fender system abuts the buoyancy element when the transfer element is suspended. When the transfer element is suspended, the transfer element forms an S-shape or J-shape between the subsea installation and the buoyancy element.

    • A robust mechanical actuation design for an autonomous sailing buoy (1) is disclosed based on an internal actuation system. The buoy (1) consists of a simple closed body (3) taking the form of a ship hull to which are attached two fixed appendages (2, 4): one rigid wing (4) to catch the wind, and a keel (2). The design is completely rudderless. Steering is performed using only an internal actuation system. This system includes a moving mass system (5, 6, 7), a processing unit (9), and a navigation unit (8). The navigation unit (8) consists of a GPS, accelerometers and gyroscopes, and a wind direction and velocity sensor. The processing unit (9), using information given by the navigation unit (8), automatically controls the moving mass (6) to hold the buoy (1) on a desired course.

    • A marker buoy for marking a location vertically above an anchor deployed in a body of water, the marker buoy including a housing having a substantially watertight compartment and a spool mounted in an adjacent spool bay. A line for attachment to the anchor is wound onto the spool. When a force of tension on the line falls below the selected tension, a center of mass of the housing rotates about an axis of rotation of the housing. A control device responsive to such rotation causes energization of an electric motor coupled to the spool that operates until the force of tension on the line is again within the selected range of line tensions. The marker buoy is capable of autonomous operations, during lowering of the anchor, during operations to maintain a location vertically above the anchor, during retrieval of the anchor and during docking.
