The adjuster portion comprising a gripping bar having a pair of ears mounted near each of its ends, a housing including a web stop, and one or more springs to normally urge the bar toward the web stop and against the web. The connector portion comprises a hook portion integrally attached to the web adjuster portion, the hook portion rising generally upwardly and away from the bottom surface of the web adjuster portion.

摘要： A multi-mode belt retractor including an interlocked attachment mechanism. The belt retractor and attachment mechanism are physically integrated in a single unit. In one embodiment, the retractor is shifted between modes by the operation by the attachment mechanism such that securing the attachment mechanism to an anchor point shifts the belt retractor into a locked mode. Releasing the attachment mechanism from the anchor point shifts the belt retractor into a free-wheel mode. In one embodiment, only a single user-operable button is provided, thus minimizing the opportunity for improper operation. One embodiment of the attachment mechanism is symmetrical, making it operable by a user's left or right hand.

摘要： The auxiliary seat belt device of the present invention is an auxiliary seat belt device which is removably secured to a vehicle seat belt that is installed by connecting a buckle and a tongue that is inserted into the buckle. The auxiliary seat belt device of the present invention includes: a first belt, a first fixation member that has a first through hole that is attached to one end of the first belt, and a first fastening member that is attached to the other end of the first belt. Here, the tongue comprises a tongue insert piece that is inserted into the buckle and connected to the buckle. With the buckle insert piece, which passes through the first through hole, inserted in the buckle, the first fixation member, the tongue and the buckle are connected together. The auxiliary seat belt device of the present invention can be easily attached to or detached from an existing seat belt without having to modify the seat belt.

摘要： The present invention provides a resilient seat belt extension device comprising: a female receptacle adapted to engage a seat belt system's male buckle; a male buckle adapted to engage a seat belt system's female receptacle; and a resilient connector fixedly attached to the female receptacle on one end and the male buckle on another end; wherein the connector is formed by the following steps: (i) attaching ends of an elongated material together to form the connector with two layers of elongated material; (ii) placing a non-liquid compound between the two layers of elongated material wherein the compound is adapted to provide resiliency to the connector; (iii) attaching the two layers of elongated material together; and (iv) curing the compound at a predetermined temperature. The present invention also provides a method of making the above-described device.
