摘要： An overtube for an endoscope includes: a tube body having a main lumen through which the endoscope is inserted and an air-supply lumen through which gas flows; a fixing balloon provided on an outer peripheral surface of a distal end of the tube body, expandable outward from the outer peripheral surface and contractible toward the outer peripheral surface; an air supply device configured to send the gas to the air-supply lumen; and an airtight valve unit having a tubular portion communicating with the main lumen at a rear end of the tube body, the airtight valve unit closing the gap between the endoscope inserted through the tubular portion into the main lumen and an inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion.

摘要： A method performed by a computing system comprises receiving shape information for an elongate flexible portion of a medical instrument. The medical instrument includes a reference portion movably coupled to a fixture having a known pose in a surgical reference frame. The fixture includes a constraint structure having a known constraint structure location in the surgical reference frame. The elongate flexible portion is coupled to the reference portion and is sized to pass through the constraint structure. The method further includes receiving reference portion position information in the surgical reference frame; determining an estimated constraint structure location in the surgical reference frame from the reference portion position information and the shape information; determining a correction factor by comparing the estimated constraint structure location to the known constraint structure location; and modifying the shape information based upon the correction factor.

摘要： Systems and methods for improving endoscopy procedures are described that provide not only a conventional real time image of the view obtained by an endoscope, but in addition, a near real time 3D model and/or a 2D flattened image of an interior surface of an organ, which model and image may be processed using AI software to highlight potential tissue abnormalities for closer examination and/or biopsy during the procedure. A navigation module interacts with other system outputs to further assist the endoscopist with navigational indicia, e.g., landmarks and/or directional arrows, that enhance the endoscopists' spatial orientation, and/or may provide navigational guidance to the endoscopist to assist manipulation of the endoscope.

摘要： There is provided an endoscope that allows the distal end portion of a wire and a treatment tool-elevator to be easily connected to each other. An engaging portion (100) is provided at the distal end portion of a wire (60). An elevator (30) is provided with a contact portion (101) that applies a rotational moving force acting in a fallen direction to the elevator (30) in a case where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion. The elevator (30) is provided with a housing portion (102) in which an opening (104) is formed. A wall portion (81) is provided at a position that faces the movement trajectory of the engaging portion (100) in a case where the elevator (30) is moved between an elevated position and a fallen position in a state where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion (101). In a state where the engaging portion (100) is in contact with the contact portion (101), the wall portion (81) regulates the movement of the engaging portion (100) in a direction where the engaging portion (100) enters the opening (104) in a case where the elevator (30) is present between the elevated position and the fallen position and allows the movement of the engaging portion (100) in the direction where the engaging portion (100) enters the opening (104) in a case where the elevator (30) is present between the fallen position and an attachment/detachment position.

摘要： An anchored guide wire is described including at least one expansion apparatus having an outer surface for contacting surrounding tissue, an elongated guide wire with at least one lumen for supplying fluid to the expansion apparatus, and a pump that supplies fluid to the lumen to inflate the expansion apparatus, wherein the outer surface of the expansion apparatus has a textured surface for preventing slippage on surrounding tissue. A method of securing a guide wire in a bodily cavity is also described including inserting an elongated guide wire with an expansion apparatus having a textured outer surface and a lumen for supplying fluid to the expansion apparatus, into the bodily cavity, supplying fluid to the lumen with a pump until the expansion apparatus is inflated, moving a medical device along the elongated guide wire, deflating the expansion apparatus, and withdrawing the guide wire from the bodily cavity.

An opening is disposed at a proximal end of the handle body, and a chamber is disposed at a distal end of the handle body. A joystick has a steering grip extending proximally from a joystick body. The joystick body is disposed in the cavity with the steering grip extending through the opening. A stylet shaft is connected to the handle body at the distal end, and a controllable tip is disposed distal to the stylet shaft. One or more wires are connected to the joystick body and extend distally through the chamber. A rotation of the joystick body using the steering grip causes a displacement of the one or more wires, and the displacement of the one or more wires moves the controllable tip.

The projecting elements are bendable towards both proximal and distal directions of the tubular member. The force (insertion force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the proximal direction is less than a force (extraction force) required to bend the projecting elements towards the distal direction. An outer periphery of the projecting elements decreases as the extraction force increases.
