    • A combination brake light and trunk storage region illumination lamp is provided for use in an automobile as (20) a center high mount lamp (10) or a trunk mounted lamp (310). The lamp comprises a housing (30) having a first wall (32) having a first lens (50) mounted in an opening (52) and a second wall (34) having a second lens (60) mounted in an opening (62). The housing (30) is mounted to the automobile (20) on a support member, such as the package shelf (40) or the trunk lid (240), whereby the first lens (50), which is a red lens, is disposed so as to be visible from behind the vehicle and the second lens (60), which is a clear or neutral color lens, is disposed so as to face into the trunk storage region. Disposed within the housing (30) is a lighting element (35) which is selectively energized either when a brake pedal of the automobile (20) is depressed or when the trunk lid is in an open position.

    • A wash/wiper switch control assembly having an integrally formed wash/wiper contact member. The wash/wiper contact member includes a plurality of wiper contact arms which are integrally formed with a central body portion and a wash contact arm which is also integrally formed with the central body portion. The wash/wiper contact member is secured to an actuator member via conventional staking techniques. By manufacturing the wash/wiper contact member as a single component, the overall cost of manufacturing a wash/wiper switch control assembly is reduced. The complexity of manufacturing the wash/wiper contact member is also reduced while the reliability is improved since only a single component part need be secured to the actuator member versus prior art arrangements in which a wash contact and a separate wiper contact are secured to separate component parts of a wash/wiper switch control assembly.

    • A slide actuated holding clamp for holding a connector stationary while a push test or pull test is performed on a conductor secured to the connector. The clamp comprises a main body portion having an opening formed therein, a locking member adapted to fit nestably substantially within the opening, and an actuating member adapted to fit nestably within a recessed portion in the locking member. The actuating member is pivotally coupled to an upper end portion of the locking member and the locking member is captively held within the opening in the main body portion by a locking pin. The locking member includes elongated openings which allow the locking member to be urged slidably longitudinally within the main body portion as the actuating member is moved in first and second longitudinal directions. The pivotal coupling of the actuating member and locking member allows the locking member to be urged pivotally into abutting engagement with a connector as the actuating member is moved in a first linear direction. The elongated apertures permit the actuating member to urge the locking member generally linearly in the same direction as the actuating member as the actuating member continues to be moved in the first direction. This causes the locking member to exert a positive clamping force on the connector prior to conducting a push test or pull test.

    • A fibrous resinated panel is provided which when used in a closed environment releases relatively minor amounts of trimethylamines, aldehydes and phenolic compounds into the closed environment. The panel is formed by compressing a fibrous mat impregnated with a thermosetting resin system in a mold cavity defined between an upper and a lower inner mold surface at a temperature between 400.degree. to 600.degree. for 45 to 90 seconds whereby the thermosetting resin is substantially cured and the mat is shaped to conform to a desired contour prior to removing the mat from the mold cavity. The thermosetting resin system used to impregnate the mat includes an essentially aqueous A-stage form resole-melamine composition containing residues of free melamine(s) to free aldehyde(s) to free phenolic compound(s) in a molar equivalent ratio ranging from about 0.2:1.5:1 to about 0.8:3.5:1.

    • The present invention device for supporting garment hangers within an automotive vehicle comprises an enclosed loop having a peripheral surface, an inside surface and a pair of substantially vertical faces with a horizontally accessible aperture extending therethrough. A hook portion of each garment hanger is retained and supported by the inside surface of the loop. Furthermore, an upper portion of the loop has a hook member formed within the peripheral surface thereof. The loop is pivotably attached to an aesthetically pleasing bezel such that the loop can be pivoted from a stowed position parallel with the bezel to a functional vertically planar position projecting inward from the bezel. Moreover, a lamp may be incorporated within the bezel behind the stowed loop such that a lens, mounted to the bezel, has a shape congruent with the inside surface of the loop and fits centrally therein.
