    • An oscillating tool for sanding a surface has a body (12) defining an internal cavity (14) and a motor (20) located therein The motor has a motor shaft (22) oriented in parallel with the body. A crank (24) is affixed to the motor which has a crank pin (26) projecting therefrom. A lever arm (34) is pivotably affixed to the body for rotation about a pivot axis generally perpendicular to the motor shaft. The lever arm cooperates with the crank pin to cause the lever arm to cyclically pivot back and forth. A pad support (18) is adapted to receive a work member (19). The planar pad support is affixed to the lever arm at a location spaced apart from the pivot axis and oscillated therewith. The pad support has a substantially 90 degree forward corner (110) formed by a pair or facet edges and a pair of outwardly inclined straight side edges (116, 118).

    • A line trimmer head assembly having a central hub and a body including an annular disc extending circumferentially radially outward from the central hub to removably receive the length of a uniform cross-section line. The disc member is provided with a pair of openings on the disc periphery through which a fixed line length is threaded. The interior portion of the disc is provided with at least two retainer clips having a hook shaped member with an incline ramp surface for cooperating with the portion of the line extending between the two openings. The line is held in place by tension which causes the line to travel down the ramp surface.

    • A hand-held blower mechanism includes an elongated housing having an inlet and outlet, and having a nozzle portion at the outlet. A motor is positioned within the housing along a central drive axis which intersects the inlet and the outlet. A centrifugal fan is positioned within the housing adjacent the inlet and is driven by the motor about the drive axis. A reservoir is removably secured to the nozzle portion with a tube in fluid communication with the outlet to facilitate spraying of fluid from the reservoir as air is blown through the outlet by the fan. Various attachments are provided.

    • An in-line oscillating cam assembly which includes a housing, a cam shaft having a longitudinal axis, and a pair of eccentric drive cams longitudinally spaced apart from each other and mounted on the cam shaft eccentrically out of phase. The pair of drive cams have opposed circumferential chamfered surfaces oriented at an inclined angle relative a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cam shaft. The cam shaft is supported upon the housing and is also rotatable about the longitudinal axis. Further included in the assembly is a follower shaft spaced apart from and parallel to the drive shaft, and a cam follower longitudinally fixed to the follower shaft and extending between the pair of drive cams. The cam follower has a pair of opposed frustoconical follower-surfaces engaging the chamfered surfaces of the pair of drive cams. Thus, rotating one of the cam shaft and follower shaft causes the other one of the cam shaft and follower shaft to axially oscillate.
