    • A device receives a motion-based affiliation request message and, upon receipt, enters an affiliation motion detection state. If an affiliation motion is detected while in the detection state, a message is sent to a server. The message comprises a request to affiliate to a communication group and/or an indication that the device has detected the affiliation motion. From the perspective of the server, a motion-based affiliation initiation request message is received, and based on the message, at least one device is determined to receive a motion-based affiliation request message. The server sends the affiliation request message to the device and determines whether a message was received. The message comprises one of a request to affiliate to the communication group and/or an indication that the device has detected an affiliation motion. If a message was received, affiliation of the device to the communication group is initiated.

    • A route correlation method, an identification method, and a route correlation system determine an implicit relationship between two entities, i.e. two users with mobile devices, following dynamic, but similar paths or routes, but which otherwise lack an explicit relationship. Through this implicit relationship, the identity of one entity can be known to another. The route correlation method includes determining a route for a first mobile device, determining a route for each of a plurality of mobile devices, correlating the route for each of the plurality of mobile devices with the route for the first mobile device, identifying each of the plurality of mobile devices with their associated routes matching the route of the first mobile device, and associating each mobile device with an entity.

    • A group transfer function (GTF) receives a plurality of inputs and media for delivery to a plurality of mobile devices. The mobile devices are served by a plurality of cells potentially having a plurality of different radio access technologies such that each mobile device is wirelessly connected to one of the cells. The GTF applies policy rules to the inputs to determine, for each mobile device, content delivery using point-to-multipoint or point-to-point media transport based on the capabilities of the servicing cell. The GTF initiates an allocation of a set of resources in each cell to transport the media to each mobile device in the group using the determined media transport for that mobile device. Media is then replicated by the GTF for delivery to the mobile devices over the allocated resources.

    • A method of managing a Push-To-Talk over Cellular communication session includes establishing, with a first user equipment, a Session Initiation Protocol Push-To-Talk session that includes a Session Initiation Protocol Push-To-Talk server and at least one second user equipment.
