摘要： The present invention relates to a composite film comprising a plastic film and a protective layer which is formed on at least one surface of the film, wherein the protective layer is made of a mixture comprising (a) an inorganic swellable silicate having a layered structure and (b) a compound containing a silanol group at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of between 1:1000 and 2:1 and an antistatic composite film comprising a plastic film and a coating layer which is formed on at least one surface of the film, wherein said coating layer is made of a mixture comprising (a) a swellable inorganic silicate having a layered structure and containing at least one ion selected from among aliphatic ammonium ions having at most 6 carbon atoms, sodium ion, silver ion and lithium ion as an interlayer ion and (b) at least one member selected from among water-soluble compounds and water-dispersible resins at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of between 1:1000 and 2:1. These composite films are excellent in electrical characteristics, smoothness, slipperiness, anti-scratching properties, antistatic properties and the like, so that they are suitable for various uses such as electrical insulating material, wrapping material, labels, writable and erasable materials, print lamination film, magnetic recording medium, micro-film or the like.

The laminated film of the present invention comprises a coating layer on at least one surface of a polyester film, which coating layer contains as a major component a wax-based composition and has protrusions with length/width ratios of not less than 3 at a density of not less than 20 protrusions/100 .mu.m.sup.2. The film of the present invention, when used as a base of an image transfer material for thermal recording or as a film for heat-sensitive mimeograph stencil, the running property is good, abrasion and staining of the head are very small, shedding of ink when the ink is applied does not occur, and the adhesion of the ink, clearness of printed characters, anti-sticking property, holing property and clearness of printing are excellent.

The polyester film has excellent transparency, mechanical properties and dimensional stability such as those of a PET film and an excellent water absorption property such as that of a TAC film.Therefore, when the film is used as a base film for a photosensitive material, a good curl-extinguishing property as well as good transparency, mechanical properties and dimensional stability of the material can be realized.
