    • This attaching structure includes: a first part having a slot; a second part having an attaching hole; and a clip for connecting those parts, the clip including a first flange portion, a shank portion, a second flange portion for coming into elastic abutment against the back side of the slot, a third flange portion, and a leg portion to be retained in the attaching hole, wherein: the shank portion has sliding portions of a large arcuate shape, and stopper portions of a small arcuate shape; protrusions are disposed on the first part in the periphery of the side portions close to the stopper portions when the first flange portion intersects at a right angle with respect to the slot; and the protrusions engage with the first flange portion to stop the turning motion thereby to prevent the clip from coming out from the first part.

    • An image forming apparatus adapted for a smooth mounting/dismounting of a process unit and for the reduction of wasteful power consumption is provided.Unless a new image signal is applied after completion of an image forming operation, the apparatus starts a clocking operation by an internal timer (Step S101). If the apparatus is left standstill for a predetermined length of time (Step S102), a sleep process (Step S103) is executed to shift the apparatus to a power save mode to consume less power. When an outside cover is opened (Step S105), on the other hand, the apparatus is shifted to a replacement operation mode (Step S106) in which only the rotation of a development rotary is permitted. However, if the apparatus is left with the outside cover opened (Step S108), the sleep process is executed.

    • The present invention provides monoclonal antibodies that specifically recognize a specific structural portion of cardiac glycoside.The monoclonal antibodies of the present invention recognize an integrated structure in the steroid structure of cardiac glycoside or its aglycon comprising: a D-ring bonded in the cis-configuration with respect a C-ring; a methyl group bonded in the .beta.-configuration at the C13 position; a hydroxyl group bonded in the .beta.-configuration at the C14 position; and, an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated lactone group bonded in the .beta.-configuration at the C17 position. This structure is common to cardiac glycoside substances that inhibit potassium ion concentration antagonist type Na.sup.+,K.sup.+ -ATPase.

    • A dust-proof container for keeping therein a mask or reticle usable to transfer a pattern onto a semiconductor wafer for the manufacture of integrated circuits, is disclosed. The container includes a casing within which supporting pins for supporting the mask or reticle are formed. Also, in the casing, there are provided leaf springs for pressing the mask or reticle toward the supporting pins, and a releasing mechanism for releasing the reticle pressing force of the leaf springs. The releasing mechanism is responsive to a non-mechanical signal such as an electric signal to release the reticle pressing force. A shape memory alloy may be usable in the releasing mechanism. An opening/closing mechanism is provided to open/close a door which is operable to cover an opening formed in the casing for the insertion and extraction of the mask or reticle. A shape memory alloy may be used in the opening/closing mechanism. With the dust-proof container of the present invention, the necessity of use of a mechanical-signal transmitting system such as a linkage or otherwise in the casing is avoided. This effectively prevents creation of dust or foreign particles within the casing due to mechanical friction contact. Also, the possiblity of adhesion of dust or foreign particles to the mask or reticle contained in the container can be minimized.
