    • A semiconductor device presented herein includes a first wiring including a first end and a second end configured to receive a voltage lower than a voltage of the first end. The semiconductor device includes a second wiring including a third end connected to the first end, and a fourth end connected to the second end. The semiconductor device includes a switching element set on the first wiring, a capacitor set on the second wiring, and a fuse portion set on the second wiring and positioned on a third end side of the capacitor. The semiconductor device includes a potential sensing portion connected to the second wiring between the fuse portion and the capacitor and configured to sense a potential of a connection point thereof.

    • An induction heating cooker includes a top plate adapted to have an object placed thereon, plural heating coils provided below a lower surface of the top plate, an inverter for supplying high-frequency power to the heating coils, a data memory, and a controller controlling the inverter. The data memory stores first and second heating coil patterns. Each of the first and second heating coil patterns defines one or more heatable regions and one or more non-heatable regions. The controller selects a heating coil pattern from the first and second coil patterns. The controller controls the inverter such that high-frequency power can be supplied to one or more first heating coils out of the plural heating coils located in the one or more heatable regions of the selected heating coil pattern. The controller controls the inverter such that high-frequency power cannot be supplied to one or more second heating coils out of the plural heating coils located in the one or more non-heatable regions of the selected heating coil pattern. This induction heating cooker can adjust at least one of the location, the size, and the number of the heatable regions for induction-heating objects in response to at least one of the location, the size, and the number of the objects to be heated, thereby heating the objects efficiently.

    • A gas detecting device principally used for detecting liquor contained in expired gas of a driver of a car. The gas detecting device is of the type wherein an inlet opening for sucking expired gas of an object person for measurement is provided adjacent an end of a cylindrical member, and an air blower for attracting the expired gas thus sucked and a gas detecting element for detecting liquor in the expired gas are contained in said cylindrical member, and comprises an illuminating section connected to said power source for illuminating forwardly of said inlet opening of said cylindrical member. Thus, the gas detecting device is integrally provided with an illuminating function and a gas detecting function. The device may further comprise a convex lens located forwardly of the illuminating section for condensing light irradiated from the illuminating section whereby it is provided with a distance setting function for setting a distance between the object person for measurement and the gas detecting device in addition to the aforementioned two functions. The device may further comprise a switch having a movable contact connected to the power source, a first fixed contact connected to a light source of the distance setting section, and a second fixed contact connected to a heater contained in the detecting element whereby power consumption can be saved.
