    • A target detection device includes: a sound source which projects a sound pulse; a transducer array disposed in a region for receiving a forward scattered wave from an object in the propagation environment; an addition processing unit which extracts only a signal of the forward scattered wave by applying vector addition processing on a reference signal in a reference sound field received when an obstacle exists in the propagation environment and a mixed signal in a mixed sound field received when the target exists with the obstacle; a phase conjugation determination unit which checks whether a phase conjugacy is established by receiving the signal of the extracted forward scattered wave and employing a passive phase conjugation for determining the reference sound field; and a time reversal processing unit which generates a time reversal signal on condition that the phase conjugation determination unit judges that the phase conjugacy is established.

    • An on-off valve mounted in a high pressurized gas container, which has a holding portion for holding a flow amount controlling member in a path formed in an upper stream side of the body of the valve, and in which a flow amount controlling member is movably held. In the flow amount controlling member, an orifice is formed. When the valve moves into an opening position, a high pressurized oxygen gas is flowed into a valve chamber by gas pressure, the flow amount controlling member moves and closes the path. At this time, the gas flow amount is restricted by the orifice, so that the pressurizing speed of the gas pressure at the down stream side of the orifice becomes slow and then heat generation due to the adiabatic compression is reduced.

    • This method relates to a non-draining type human waste disposal by pulse combustion drying. In the method, a pulsating combustion gas is discharged downward into a vertically cylindrical dryer from a pulse combustor disposed at the top of the dryer, and making contact the pulsating combustion gas with residue-removed human waste, digester chamber sludges or their mixtures charged therein, turning the charged matters to dried powder and steam under the dryer conditions of 120.degree.-150.degree. C., withdrawing the dried powder from the bottom of the dryer and the combustion gas containing steam from a lower side of the dryer, dust-removing the combustion gas containing steam maintained at 120.degree.-150.degree. C., deodorizing the dust-removed combustion gas, and exhausting the deodorized gas into the air. As an alternative method, the dried powder and the combustion gas containing steam are withdrawn from the bottom of the dryer, the withdrawn material maintained at 120.degree.-150.degree. C. is charged to a incinerator, odorous components and the dried powder entrained in the combustion gas containing steam are incinerated under supply of a fuel and combustion air, dust-removing the incinerated matters, and exhausting the dust-removed gas into the air.
