摘要： The invention relates to a structure based on glass fiber coated with a resin composition designed to reinforce bonded abrasive articles, the resin composition including the following constituents in the proportions indicated, expressed in percentage by weight of solid matter: 75 to 98% of a mixture of at least one novolac having a glass transition temperature lower than or equal to 60° C. and at least one novolac having a glass transition temperature above 60° C., 0.5 to 10% of at least one wax, 0 to 3.5% of at least one plasticizing agent.

摘要： The present invention relates to the use of glycerol as additive for formaldehyde-free aqueous sizes based on acrylic or acrylate polymers, which are intended for the manufacture of products based on mineral wool, in order to improve the aging resistance of the products based on mineral wool that are obtained after the size has been crosslinked. The products based on mineral wool bound with such a size, which is environmentally friendly, have the same quality as products conventionally bound with a phenolic resin. The thickness recovery and flexure of the products obtained are improved.

摘要： An alkanolamine-modified phenolic resin formulation is formed by reacting a basic catalyst, formaldehyde, water and a benzene-ol to form an intermediate composition to which and an alkanolamine is subsequently added to reduce the presence of free formaldehyde. The alkanolamine-modified phenolic resin formulation can be employed to coat abrasive products having a relatively low free formaldehyde content.

摘要： The invention relates to a resin composition based on a urea-modified phenol-formaldehyde resole which has a formaldehyde/phenol molar ratio of 2 to 5, exhibiting a free formaldehyde content lower than or equal to 3 percent (by weight relative to the total weight of the composition), a free phenol content lower than or equal to 0.5 percent and a dilutability measured at 20° C., of at least 1000 percent and to a process for the preparation of this composition. The modification of an overcondensed phenolic resole by neutralization with boric acid according to the invention permits the dilutability of the resole to be increased. An application is for sizing composition s for products based on mineral wool with a reduction in atmospheric pollution upon use.
