    • In electrical epilation equipment useful to permanently remove unwanted body hair it is known to have a needle electrode to affect the immediate surroundings of the papilla. In this invention the needle electrode has been adapted to fit into the first arm of a pair of tweezers where its position can be adjusted so that the needle protrudes more or less from the tip of the tweezers first arm. This feature facilitates a consistent insertion depth of the needle into the follicles. Switches adapted to fit into the tweezers control electricity flow to the needle electrode when the tweezers is being closed to grip a hair. An indicator light adapted to fit into the tweezers monitors the presence of electrical energy at the needle electrode.

    • A unified search entity, which provides at least visual query based web searching and an associated mechanism for expressing privacy preferences, obtains, from a requester, a visual query including at least a first facial image. The unified search entity identifies, via facial recognition on the at least first facial image, an identity of an individual subject of the at least first facial image and/or at least a second facial image of the individual subject associated with the at least first facial image. The unified search entity obtains, from the individual, via the mechanism for expressing privacy preferences, a plurality of privacy preferences including a visual query preference. The identity of the individual subject and/or the at least second facial image are communicated from the unified search entity to the requester only if permitted by the visual query preference.

    • The invention relates to a method for computer-aided simulation of technical processes. Methods of this type are required in particular in evolution simulation models of technical, in particular physical and/or chemical processes, which are intended to be propagated in time (evolution).     • Apparatus for inspection of a cutting tool by an examination device is provided. The examination tool is preferably a camera. The apparatus includes a base and a cutting tool mounting member on the base for attachment of a cutting tool to be inspected. The mounting member is adapted to position the cutting tool at a viewing location for the camera. There is a movable arm having a mounting location for receiving the camera. The movable arm is mounted to the base for rotation such that the camera moves in a first plane that includes the viewing location. The movable arm is also pivotable away from first plane to a second plane. An aperture through the base permits observation of the viewing location by the camera when the arm is pivoted to the second plane. The apparatus of the present invention permits fast, accurate and consistent measurement of the cutting surface geometry of a cutting tool. Preferably, the mounting location for the camera is movable along the arm and includes a positioning system to automatically adjust the position of the mounting location when the arm is pivoted from the first plane to the second plane to maintain the focus of the camera. By maintaining the focus of the camera between the first and second planes, the apparatus of the present invention permits rapid and accurate inspection of a cutting tool surface using software controlled inspection systems.
