    • A system for adjusting a bias voltage of a flame sensing system. The system may use pulse width modulation to adjust the bias voltage. The system may have a flame sensing rod that conveys an electrical equivalent circuit of a flame presence to a detector via low pass filter. An excitation voltage may be conveyed via a DC blocking mechanism to the sensing rod. A pulse width modulation signal may be conveyed via a bias resistor to a node of the low pass filter and the detector. The input of an A/D converter may be that of the detector for flame signals. Also, leakages between the node of the A/D converter connection and the voltage source and/or ground may be detected and compensated. Further, leakage of the DC blocking mechanism may be minimized.

    • Certain embodiments of the present invention provide an antiscatter grid including an electromagnetic coil array integrated with the antiscatter grid. The electromagnetic coil array is registered with the antiscatter grid. The electromagnetic coil array is configured to detect an electromagnetic field at the antiscatter grid. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic coil array may be positioned in front of the antiscatter grid. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic coil array may be positioned behind the antiscatter grid. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic coil array may be attached to the antiscatter grid. In an embodiment, a portion of the electromagnetic coil array may be transparent to x-rays. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic coil array may include one or more electromagnetic coils. In an embodiment, the electromagnetic coil array may be a printed circuit board (PCB) electromagnetic coil array.

    • An electromagnetic tracking system includes a transmitter assembly having a transmitter coil trio, a receiver assembly having a receiver coil trio, and a single coil mounted on one of the receiver assembly and the transmitter assembly. The single coil is positioned a fixed and known distance away from one of the receiver coil trio and the transmitter coil trio. The sensed magnetic field, or mutual inductances, between the transmitter assembly and the receiver assembly is different at each position. Thus, each position within a detectable area of the system is distinguishable.
