摘要： An optical disc includes a plurality of recording layers, each layer having a lead-in area, a data area, and a lead-out area. A dedicated-reproducing area having a disc-related information zone, and a rewritable area are provided in at least one of the lead-in and lead-out areas of the optical disc. Accordingly, a reliability of a data recording/reproducing with respect to the optical disc is improved.

摘要： A reproduction-only optical disc has a lead-in area, a user data area, and a lead-out area. Disc related information recorded on at least one of the lead-in area and the lead-out area is recorded by high frequency groove wobbles, and data of the user data area is recorded by pits. Since the high-density reproduction-only optical disc uses the same channels for reproduction signals as a high-density recordable optical disc, the two types of discs are consistent with each other and are compatible with the same disc drives.

Stamping a mother stamper from the father stamper, the shape of the mother stamper inverse of the father stamper. Manufacturing the disc with the mother stamper.

When the drive zone is updated with the new drive data, the new drive data is recorded in the physical cluster or ECC block adjacent to physical cluster or ECC block containing the most recently drive data. The drive data recording method is applicable to a new format of information storage medium.
