摘要： In an image recording apparatus, a developing sheet is fed by a feeder substantially horizontally along a predetermined transport path. A pair of pressurizing and developing rollers are arranged in a plane substantially parallel to the developing sheet fed by the feeder. A guide arrangement is arranged in the predetermined transport path for changing a course of the developing sheet fed by the feeder and for guiding the developing sheet to a nip defined between the pair of pressurizing and developing rollers. A pressure-sensitive recording medium having carried thereon a latent image and the developing sheet are caused to pass through the nip, with the pressure-sensitive recording medium and the developing sheet superposed upon each other. The pressurizing and developing rollers cooperate with each other to apply pressure to the pressure-sensitive recording medium and the developing sheet to develop the latent image on the pressure-sensitive recording medium, onto the developing sheet.

The sheet heating device includes a heater unit extending transversely to and substantially fully across the sheet feed path, and an air blower for supplying air to the heater unit substantially fully across the sheet feed path and along a surface of the sheet in a direction opposite to the direction in which the sheet is fed along the sheet feed path. The sheet heating device also includes a cover covering the heater unit and the air blower and having an inlet slot and an outlet slot, and a guide plate disposed underneath the cover. The sheet heating device further includes a plurality of fixed or angularly movable air flow guide vanes for guiding an air flow from the cross-flow fan toward the heater unit. The air flow guide vanes are disposed between the heater unit and the cross-flow fan and spaced at intervals along the heater unit.

摘要： An image recording apparatus disclosed herein is capable of recording a color image with the use of a photosensitive and pressure-sensitive recording sheet. A latent image is formed on the recording sheet by exposing light emitted from an exposure light source. The latent image formed thereon is subjected to a pressure developement to provide a visible image on a color developer sheet. The visible image is then thermally fixed by a thermal fixing device which comprises a heat storing/radiating means for storing heat generated by the exposure light source and radiating the heat stored therein toward the color developer sheet. The heat storing/radiating means is disposed between the exposure light source and the developer sheet on which the visible image is formed to be in substantial contact with the color developer sheet, whereby no separate heat source is necessary for heating the color developer sheet.

摘要： A thermal fixing unit provided with gas purification means for use in an image recording medium. The gas purification means traps gaseous component released from a developer sheet upon heating thereof. The purification means includes a duct body disposed to surround a main frame of the thermal fixing unit, a support body having one end connected to the duct body, a fluid passage being defined between the main frame and the duct body, and the fluid passage being connected between the one end of the support body and sheet inlet and sheet outlet of the thermal fixing unit, the gas venting fan rotatably provided at the support body for sucking fluid in the main frame through the sheet inlet, the sheet outlet and the fluid passage, and a filter member disposed in the support body for trapping the gaseous component released from the developer sheet.
