    • An image forming apparatus includes a circulation unit and a controller. The circulation unit includes a plurality of reversing units each configured to reverse a sheet of recording media having one surface printed at an image processor. The circulation unit re-feeds the reversed sheet of recording media to the image processor. During duplex printing of a plurality of sheets of recording media through circulation in the circulation unit, the controller controls a holding reversing unit among the plurality of reversing units to hold at least one sheet among the plurality of sheets, so as to increase an actual circulated sheet number of the circulated plurality of sheets by a number corresponding to the at least one sheet so that the actual circulated sheet number is larger than a predetermined circulated sheet number by the number corresponding to the at least one sheet.

    • A recording-medium-type setting unit selects a type of a recording medium to be analyzed on the basis of information input with an input unit. A threshold-value setting unit sets a threshold value on which the determination of whether the calculation result is output in a file is based for each recording medium type selected by the recording-medium-type setting unit. An amount-of-variation calculating unit calculates the reaction force for every time step, stores the reaction force in the current time step in time integration in a RAM during the calculation, and monitors the amount of variation in the reaction force between each time step and the next time step. A file-output controlling unit calculates the difference between the reaction force stored by the amount-of-variation calculating unit and the reaction force in the current time step and, if the difference is larger than the threshold value, performs file output.

    • A thin film capacitor includes a pair of electrodes and a dielectric layer having piezoelectricity sandwiched therebetween. The phase characteristic of an impedance resulting from application of a voltage to the pair of electrodes peaks periodically according to a frequency of a signal to be inputted or outputted. The frequency of the signal is adjusted to fall in between the values representing the adjacent peaks. Since there are periodic peak values that depend upon the frequency of the inputted or outputted signal, in fabricating a band-pass filter, a higher attenuation can be attained by ensuring that the peak value stands at a low-frequency level. Thus, a higher attenuation can be attained at low frequencies without sacrificing the band-pass characteristic, whereby making it possible to produce a band-pass filter that is excellent in band-pass characteristic.
