    • An image processing apparatus capable of performing chromatic aberration of magnification and noise reduction without decrease in processing performance and increase in the cost is provided. A format conversion circuit in the image processing apparatus converts first image data including an array of color components of red (R), green (G1 and G2), and blue (B) into second image data including the color components of R and B and a luminance component by performing false color suppression processing on the first image data separately using the color components of G1 and G2, and stores the data in an image buffer region. A circuit for correcting chromatic aberration of magnification reads the second data stored in the image buffer region and performs the correction of chromatic aberration of magnification.

    • A magnetic head includes a magnetic pole placed opposite a surface of a recording medium and moving relatively to the surface in a direction along the surface, the magnetic pole generating a magnetic line of force that crosses the surface of the recording medium, and a coil that excites the magnetic pole. The magnetic pole has a number of layers stacked on one another in a direction along the movement relatively to the surface of the recording medium, and the layers include a most forward layer located at a most forward position of the movement and consisting of a first magnetic material and a most backward layer located at a most backward position of the movement and consisting of a second magnetic material having a saturation magnetic flux density higher than that of the first magnetic material and a coercive force larger than that of the first magnetic material.

    • An image processing apparatus comprises: a storage unit storing a first group of defective pixel data including positional information on a defective pixel of an image sensor and information on a type of defect; a detection unit which detects a defective pixel of the image sensor and generates a second group of defective pixel data; a combining unit which combines the first and second groups to generate a third group; and a correction unit which corrects an image signal output from a defective pixel of the image sensor using the third group, wherein the combining unit assigns a priority level corresponding to the type of defect to each piece of defective pixel data, and if there are multiple pieces of defective pixel data including common positional information, leaves the defective pixel data in the order of priority level, the highest the first and the lowest the last.
