    • There is provided a normally-off type transistor made of a nitride semiconductor. The transistor includes: an undoped GaN layer which forms a channel region; an undoped Al0.2Ga0.8N layer which is formed on the undoped GaN layer and has a band gap larger than that of the undoped GaN layer; a p-type Al0.2Ga0.8N control layer which is formed on the undoped Al0.2Ga0.8N layer, has a p-type conductivity and forms a control region; an Ni gate electrode which contacts with the p-type Al0.2Ga0.8N control layer; a Ti/Al source electrode and a Ti/Al drain electrode which are formed beside the p-type Al0.2Ga0.8N control layer; and an Ni ohmic electrode which is connected to the undoped GaN layer and serves as a hole absorbing electrode. With this transistor, it is possible to achieve a large-current operation and a high switching speed.

    • There is provided a monitoring system capable of representing relationships of computer resources that virtual servers use in a tree structure and aggregating the performance statistics of the virtual resources sharing physical resources. The monitoring system has: a virtualization module that makes virtual computers operate; and a monitoring module for monitoring the physical computers and components of the virtual computers. The monitoring module designates the physical computer and the components of the virtualizing module as base resources, manages the components of the virtual computers as virtual resources, generates a platform tree by extracting a tree structure from the virtual resources and the components of the base resources for predetermined platforms, generates a service provision tree by extracting a tree structure having the base or virtual resources as starting points, and establishes a reference relationship for the components contained in the platform tree and also contained in the service provision tree.

    • Provided is a computer system comprising a computer and a plurality of storage devices. The plurality of storage devices store divided data which is obtained by dividing data contained in a file which can be accesed by the computer. The computer holds configuration information of the processor included in the computer and configuration information of the file which is stored by dividing the file; divides an I/O request of the file into a plurality of I/O requests for the plurality of storage devices; determines whether a predetermined condition is satisfied or not; and assigns a plurality of I/O threads of a number determined based on a result of the determination to the divided plurality of I/O requests. The processor inputs/outputs the divided data of the file held in the plurality of storage devices by using the assigned the plurality of I/O threads.
