    • A method (200) and system (100) for sharing podcast information includes a wireless communication device (101) having a transceiver (102), and a processor (104) coupled to the transceiver. The processor can be programmed to play (202) a podcast having associated metadata on a wireless communication device and transfer (204) a hyperlink and the associated metadata to a remote device (103) while playing the podcast on the communication device. The processor can be further programmed to transfer the hyperlink and the associated metadata to the remote device while playing the podcast by using a push-to-transmit function (109) on the communication device. The remote device receives the link and associated metadata and decodes (206) the associated metadata. The associated metadata can include constructs having start times and end times for the podcast, bookmarks for portions of the podcast, digital rights management information, display description, podcast category, or relevant images.

    • A communication device (10) includes a transmitter (16) and a processor (12) coupled to the transmitter. The processor can be programmed to control dissemination of information of a user using a contextual profile (23 or 52, 54, or 56) for at least one recipient of the user, monitor a user's situational context (58), and transmit information (such as the user's current location) to the at least one recipient if the user's situational context matches the contextual profile for the recipient. The processor can monitor the user's situational context by monitoring at least one among the user's location, a current time, and a current date. Optionally, the processor can also monitor an application in use at the communication device. The communication device can further include a GPS receiver (27) and the processor monitors the user's situational context by monitoring a user's location using GPS data from the GPS receiver.

    • A system (50) and method (10) providing a user with a qualitative indication of a freshness of location information with minimal user disruption can include the steps of obtaining (12) presentation data, associating (14) a location indication representative of a location when the presentation data was obtained, and altering (16) a data characteristic of the presentation data over time to provide an indication of a freshness of the location indication. The method can further include the step of presenting (19) the presentation data to a user. Note, presentation data for example can be data for a digital photograph or an audio sample. The step of altering the data characteristic can optionally involve altering (18) at least one among a contrast, brightness, sharpness, pixel resolution, vertical positioning, horizontal positioning, color setting, white balance, compression ratio, language setting, volume, pitch, and equalization setting.

    • A list generation system (300) and method that includes cellular phone/item selector (102) that reads an identifier (106, 108) of a selected item the user is interested in receiving as a gift. The cellular phone/item selector (102) includes a GPS receiver (818) to determine a location near the selected item. An identification of the selected item is then added, along with the location of the item and the user's identification, to a list (700) that is accessible to gift givers. Once a gift is received by the user, the cellular phone/item selector is used to scan the identifier of the item (106, 108) and the item is removed from the list (700). An embodiment maintains the list (700) on a server (308) and makes the list (700) available over the World Wide Web.

    • The invention concerns a method (200) and system (100) for managing meetings using group calling. The method can include the steps of detecting (212) one or more meeting participants for a meeting, comparing (214) the detected meeting participants with a listing of scheduled meeting participants and generating (216) a dynamic group calling list that at least includes those scheduled meeting participants who have not been detected. As an example, the dynamic group calling list can be generated on a mobile communications device (122) of one of the detected meeting participants. The method can also include the step of simultaneously contacting (218) from the mobile communications device the scheduled meeting participants on the dynamic group calling list who have not been detected.
