    • A conveyor belt composed of interconnected like modules of integral molded construction. Each of the modules has a flat conveying surface and first and second link ends spaced along the width of the module, each of the link ends including segments having circular bores aligned on a pivot axis across the width of the module and which segments are operative to provide a pivot bearing surface, and to cover a pivot rod on the conveying side of the module, the pivot rod remaining substantially exposed on the bottom side of the module for inspection and cleaning and for more uniform temperature cycling.

    • The number of keys on a keyboard are reduced by employing the decimal point key as a control key when stroked the second time in the entry of a decimal number word. This eliminates the need for a key standard in the computer arts which is either designated as an "enter" key or as an "=" key depending upon the computer arithmetic process. It thereby becomes possible to use only twelve keys on a keyboard to control a modern computer with the order of 133 built-in programs or execution commands. This is done by providing in addition to ten decimal keys 0 to 9 and the decimal point key one additional control or execute key which initiates a two or more sequential key program step select mode in which any of the twelve keys are then stroked to designate a particular execution command. An accompanying graphic display of the various execution choices available makes the keyboard usable without necessity of frequent consultation of an instruction manual.

    • A circular ladder for use along a cylindrical wall and having a single stringer which is disposed in a helical path around the cylindrical wall and an array of half treads disposed on each side of the stringer. Each array of half treads is vertically spaced from the other along the length of the stringer, the half treads being affixed to and laterally extending from the respective sides of the stringer. Each half tread includes an outwardly extending portion which terminates in a plane which is forward of a plane passing through the front edges of the treads. First and second handrails are disposed in this forward plane and affixed to the outwardly extending tread portions. In an alternative embodiment, a single outside handrail is employed, the cylindrical wall providing a body support in place of an inside handrail.

    • The present disclosure is directed to a modular conveyor belt made from extruded flexible links which may be either of plastic or metal having ends joinable into an endless belt by an extruded substantially rigid jointing member which also cooperates with a notched sprocket to form a drive member for the belt. Due to their formation by extrusion the top surface of the links may be formed with flights of different geometric form for performing a multiplicity of conveying tasks. The particular geometry of the extruded modular link anchoring connectors and the complemental shape of the extruded substantially rigid jointing and drive member permits links to be assembled into an endless belt by merely sliding the jointing and drive member transversely across the ends of a pair of back to back flexible links.
