摘要： A silver halide photographic material is described, comprising an emulsion which is chemical-ripened in the presence of a compound having the formula (I) or (II), ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, an alkali metal ion, or an ammonium ion; R.sub.2 is an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an acyl group, an amino group, a substituted amino group, a halogen atom, an acyloxy group, an acylamino group, a carbamoyl group, a nitro group, an aryl group, an allyl group, a sulfo group or a carboxy group; Y represents a divalent linking group; and n is 0, 1, or 2; such emulsions show high sensitivity without fog and have good stability.

摘要： A color diffusion transfer photographic material which comprises: (a) a light-sensitive element containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer having a dye image-providing material associated therewith; (b) an image-receiving element capable of imagewise fixing the dye image-providing material as a result of exposure and development of the silver halide emulsion layer; and (c) a processing composition capable of causing development of the silver halide emulsion layer and containing a mercapto compound having a molecular weight of about 230 or higher; with at least one of the light-sensitive element, the image-receiving element and the processing composition containing a developing agent for the silver halide.

摘要： A light-sensitive member for use in a color diffusion transfer element which comprises a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one dye developing agent combined with the silver halide in the silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one layer on the support contains an auxiliary developing agent selected from the group consisting of a catechol having at least one substituent, with at least one of the substituents being selected from the group consisting of an alkoxy group, an acylamino group, an acylimino group, an alkylsulfonamido group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkylseleno group, an arylseleno group and a heterocyclic group; dissolved in a substantially water-insoluble solvent and present in the layer as finely divided liquid droplets.

摘要： A method for forming a high contrast negative photographic image, which comprises imagewise exposing a photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one photographic silver halide emulsion layer with the photographic silver halide emulsion layer or at least one hydrophilic colloid layer of the photographic material containing a compound of the general formula (I)R.sup.1 --NHNHCO--R.sup.2 (I)wherein R.sup.1 represents an aryl group, and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a phenyl group, or an unsubstituted alkyl group containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and then developing the imagewise exposed material in the presence of a hydroquinone compound of the general formula (II) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a sulfo group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a heterocyclic group, or a group of the formula --O--R.sup.7 or --S--R.sup.7 where R.sup.7 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, or a heterocyclic group with at least one of R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 representing a group other than a hydrogen atom or a sulfo group.

摘要： A lithographic silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described which scarcely exhibits colored fringe and black pepper, forms halftone dots of good quality whether a fresh or an exhausted developer is used for processing thereof, and which scarcely shows a drop in sensitivity even when a developer contaminated by a fixing solution is used; said material comprises a support and at least one lithographic silver halide emulsion layer, and containing in said emulsion layer or in another hydrophilic colliodal layer which does not contain silver halide emulsion at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein M represents hydrogen, an alkali metal ion or --NH.sub.4.sup..sym. ; X represents --SO.sub.2 NHR', --COOM', --SO.sub.3 M', --OH or --CONH.sub.2, wherein M' represents hydrogen, an alkali metal ion or --NH.sub.4.sup..sym. ; and R' represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; and n represents 1 or 2.
