    • An image forming method includes a photoreceptor preparation step, a coated paper preparation step, a charging step, an exposure step, a development step, and a transfer step. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a conductive support and a photosensitive layer disposed on the conductive support. The photosensitive layer on the farthest side from the conductive support, includes a surface layer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of fluorine based resin fine particles, a carbonate resin, an arylate resin. The coated paper has a substrate and a coated layer, disposed on at least one surface of the substrate. The coated layer contains an adhesive containing latex having a glass transition temperature of 20° C. or higher and a pigment, and the surface, opposite to the substrate, of the coated layer has a glossiness of 10% or more.

    • An electrophotographic photoreceptor is disclosed which comprises an electroconductive support, a first interlayer formed on the support and containing low-resistance electroconductive particles having a specific resistance of from 10.degree. to 10.sup.4 .OMEGA.cm, a second interlayer formed on the first interlayer and containing high-resistance electroconductive particles having a specific resistance of from 10.sup.4 to 10.sup.8 .OMEGA.cm, and a photosensitive layer formed on the second interlayer. In the electrophotographic photoreceptor, in which the interlayers have an increased thickness for hiding defects present on the support and contain electroconductive particles dispersed therein, the photosensitive layer is free from the electrification performance decrease caused by charge injection thereinto and the interlayers have excellent leak-preventive properties.

    • An electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in electric characteristics and having few defects in image quality, and an image forming method for forming an image free from defects in image quality by the contact charging system. The inventive electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a conductive substrate having thereon an undercoat layer and a photosensitive layer, in which the undercoat layer comprises a copolymer resin having a hydrolytic silyl group. The copolymer resin having hydrolytic silyl groups is preferably an acrylic copolymer resin. Further, the undercoat layer may contain electrically conductive particles. When an image is formed using this electrophotographic photoreceptor, a method comprising contacting a charging device with a surface of the electrophoto-graphic photoreceptor and supplying charge from the outside to charge the photoreceptor can be employed.
