    • A sliding and height-adjustable tray shelf unit of a display apparatus has a shelf that slides inward and outward relative to the display apparatus is also adjustable vertically relative to the slotted standard of the display apparatus. Each sliding shelf can also incorporate a removable modular tray in order to allow one tray to be replaced with another tray, perhaps already pre-stocked with items to be displayed. Each sliding shelf also has a support frame that is mounted to the display apparatus or standard by way of hooked prongs or flanges that interact with the slots within the standard. A tray support base or a display tray is mounted to the support frame by any of several ways such that the tray support base “slides” relative to the support frame, such as by wheels that rotate within tracks, pegs or detent tabs that slide forward and backward within tracks cut into a flat surface, and a molded section that slides along an upstanding edge or rail. A display tray can optionally be removably placed into the tray support base for display of merchandise, and the display tray could be pre-stocked with merchandise.

    • A chassis-mounted round baler particularly useful with an on-board cotton module building system includes a bale release gate frame section connected to a forward frame section by a four bar linkage to define a gate path that allows the folding of the baler into both field transport and shipping configurations while maintaining desirable operating, transport and shipping heights. The gate linkage incorporates a self latching feature wherein a small vertical movement of the gate as the gate cylinders are operated releases a gate latch member from a forward frame member during gate opening and reengages the gate latch with the forward frame member during closing. The gate interacts with the bale handler to provide a stop for the baler gate when the baler gate is placed into a cradle on the handler.

    • A computer array (10) has a plurality of computers (12). The computers (12) communicate with each other asynchronously, and the computers (12) themselves operate in a generally asynchronous manner internally. When one computer (12) attempts to communicate with another it goes to sleep until the other computer (12) is ready to complete the transaction, thereby saving power and reducing heat production. The sleeping computer (12) can be awaiting data or instructions (12). In the case of instructions, the sleeping computer (12) can be waiting to store the instructions or to immediately execute the instructions. In the later case, the instructions are placed in an instruction register (30a) when they are received and executed therefrom, without first placing the instructions first into memory. The instructions can include a micro-loop (100) which is capable of performing a series of operations repeatedly. In one application, the sleeping computer (12) is awakened by an input such that it commences an action that would otherwise have required an interrupt of an otherwise active computer.

    • An electronic musical instrument includes a fingerboard having a plurality of switches which are player-actuated to produce musical tones through electronic tone-generating means. The fingerboard, which is on an elongate neck, has, underneath its exterior surface, one or more rows of cavities, each cavity containing a pressure-actuable membrane switch. The surface of the fingerboard above each cavity is flexible, and each switch is closeable in response to a localized deformation of the flexible fingerboard area above the cavity in which the switch is located. A continuous flexible bar is situated on the fingerboard above each row of cavity enclosed switches. Pressure applied to the bar by a player at a location above a selected cavity results in a localized deformation of both the bar and the underlying fingerboard, thereby transmitting sufficient pressure to the switch in the selected cavity to close it. The deformation is sufficiently localized to result in the closing of only one selected switch. The resilience of the bar and the fingerboard causes the switch to reopen upon release of the pressure on the bar.
