摘要： An alkaline storage battery comprising: a positive electrode plate; a negative electrode plate; separators interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; and an alkaline electrolyte, wherein a first edge of the positive electrode plate and a first edge of the negative electrode plate serve as current collecting portions, at least a second edge of at least the positive electrode plate is covered with polyethylene resin on an end face and peripheral sides thereof, the second edge being positioned opposite to the first edge, and the polyethylene resin film formed at the second edge of the positive electrode plate adheres to the separators positioned on both sides of the positive electrode plate.

摘要： A battery having a collecting structure that can reduce internal resistance of the battery and a structure that allows easy manufacturing of the battery by the following processes is provided. An enlarged portion is formed near an opening end of a battery case and a supporting ledge is provided on the inner surface of the lower end of the enlarged portion. A collector of one polarity is bonded to an electrode plate group. A connection lead is bonded to the collector at one end and is bonded to a lower surface of a sealing member at the other end. An insulation gasket is mounted to a peripheral edge portion of the sealing member from a side opposite to the collector. The peripheral edge portion of the sealing member is supported by the supporting ledge with the insulation gasket interposed therebetween. Then, the peripheral edge portion of the sealing member is horizontally fastened and securely held via the insulation gasket by caulking the opening end of the battery case and performing a process for reducing the diameter of the enlarged portion.

摘要： A method for producing a battery resulting from the joining with a plurality of weld nuggets therebetween of a foil layered part, at which foil exposed portions exposing an aluminum foil overlap, and a positive terminal member made of aluminum, includes: a formation step for forming at the foil layered part a foil welded part at which are formed, by welding aluminum foils together by means of ultrasonic welding, a first high-position part at at least a section of a surface to be joined, and a plurality of first low-position parts distributed at scattered points within the first high-position part; and a resistance-welding step for contacting the first high-position part to the positive terminal member, generating weld nuggets at the first low-position part by flowing an electric current, and resistance-welding the foil welded part and the positive terminal member with the weld nuggets therebetween.

摘要： A positive electrode for a nonaqueous battery includes a double-coated part (14) including a positive electrode active material layer (13) formed on each surface of a current collector core (12), a core exposed part (18) which is located at an end of the current collector core (12), and does not include the positive electrode active material layer (13), and a single-coated part (17) which is located between the double-coated part (14) and the core exposed part (18), and includes the positive electrode active material layer (13) formed only on one of the surfaces of the current collector core (12). A plurality of grooves (10) are formed in each surface of the double-coated part (14) to be inclined relative to a longitudinal direction of the positive electrode (2), while the grooves are not formed in the single-coated part (17). A positive electrode current collector lead (20) is connected to the core exposed part (18). The positive electrode (2) is wound in such a manner that the core exposed part (18) constitutes a last wound end, or the positive electrode (2) is accordion-folded in such a manner that the core exposed part (18) constitutes an outermost layer.

摘要： A battery which realizes high power output, cost reduction and increase in capacity. An enlarged port section is formed in an open end of a battery case. A ring-shaped support rack section is formed inside of the enlarged port section, and a ring-shaped insulating gasket is set on and supported by the support rack section. The battery has a collector of one pole, to which an end portion of an electrode plate of one pole protruding from an electrode plate group is connected. A ring and flange-shaped collar section, which is tiered with a step, is provided in the periphery of the collector, and the flange-shaped collar section is set on the bottom face of the insulating gasket. A port sealing member, in which a filter section and a cap-shaped terminal section are integrated with each other, is connected onto the collector. The enlarged port section is inwardly caulked, to fix the flange-shaped collar section of the collector and the periphery of the port sealing member, which are overlaid with each other, with the insulating gasket interposed therebetween.
