    • The invention relates to a flotation element for vessels, consisting of concrete comprising closed-cell expanded foam beads, such as polypropylene beads, which are coated with a flexible binder, such as polyurethane, whereby the unfilled inter-bead volumes do not exceed approximately 20% of the volume of the floatation element. Preferably, one such floatation element comprises a concrete core as indicated above, a polyurethane coating around the core and a bonding film, such as polyurethane, which is disposed between the core and the coating. The invention is suitable for the construction of vessel floats.

    • Embodiments of the present invention include a track fitting assembly comprising a main body, at least one pre-loaded stud assembly, and a track comprising a pair of lips. The at least one pre-loaded stud assembly comprises a stud and a compressing device.     • A new approach to speech recognition that reacts to concepts conveyed through speech, which shifts the balance of power in speech recognition from straight sound recognition and statistical models to a more powerful and complete approach determining and addressing conveyed concepts. A probabilistically unbiased multi-phoneme recognition process is employed, followed by a phoneme stream analysis process that builds the list of candidate words derived from recognized phonemes, followed by a permutation analysis process that produces sequences of candidate words with high potential of being syntactically valid, and finally, by processing targeted syntactic sequences in a conceptual analysis process to generate the utterance's conceptual representation that can be used to produce an adequate response. Applications include improving accuracy or automatically generating punctuation for transcription and dictation, word or concept spotting in audio streams, concept spotting in electronic text, customer support, call routing and other command/response scenarios.

In the process, the user gains flexibility to specify more adequately a required change or customization while propagating the information with minimal effort and not requiring additional coding. Furthermore, to simplify a speaker's interactions for controlling an automated device, the addition of a superposed layer over graphic user interface may be used. The superposed layer may display coordinates that a speaker may use to navigate the graphic user interface, for example to associate a location with a keyword or a coordinate.
